Snatcher is one of my favorite Sega CD games and is one that defines what Sega CD games are. I would say that you should be at least 14 or 15 years old and be able to handle some pretty gruesome scenes. So, let's start!
Graphics:
The graphics are very clear to come from the Sega CD. The characters look pretty realistic and the talking is very real, so real you can almost read their lips. It's pretty amazing.
Sound:
The voices are recorded (obviously) and have an okay quality. The music fits the game perfectly. At the suspenseful and scary parts, the music adds to it, a lot.
Addictiveness:
Basically, all you do is look from room to room and investigate objects and scenes. It also has sections where you get to shoot various enemies with an easy to use style. You also collect items and have to think a lot.
Story:
It is the late 2040's and JUNKER, a defense organization, recruits you, Gillian Seed, to join and take on the role of investigator. You learn about Snatchers who are like aliens from another world and they attack adults and kill them so that they can take the form of their victim. You are partnered with a robot named Metal Gear who is you Navigator and can do lots of functions. The story expands as you progress, but from here spoilers start to come.
Depth:
The game is basic, but is very big and has a lot in it. You get to shoot, investigate, ask witnesses, collect items, call phone numbers, and lots of other stuff.
Difficulty:
It really isn't too difficult, but sometimes the controls during the shooting can be annoying. If you are good at thinking hard and good at investigating things (Like Detective Game play) then you should get through this game with a challenge farther in the game.
Overall this game is excellent and I think that anybody who likes a good Shooting and Mystery game should have a blast. 9.5/10
