Ctrl + Alt + arrow keys flips the screen.

Was testing a MSX game in the RGR which uses Ctrl as one of the buttons and this happened. Had to use my roommate's computer to google how to fix it.

Seishiro Leonhart : I don't know if this can only be done on laptops or what, I tried taking a screenshot of it but it doesn't want to show sideways, instead it looks like this http://puu.sh/1eYVJ

No, not really on only laptops, I remember using another computer a long time ago that did the same thing, and it was a stationary PC.

Some widescreen LCD monitors can be adjusted to landscape mode, for ease with reading and writing. This is for those monitors. I don't know why your laptop of all things does it automatically, but it's actually pretty useful for some people.

I had a buddy with a laptop whose screen was on a swivel, so he could flip it around and use it as a sort of tablet (Before tablets weren't laptops). It did this automatically, but that screen mode was extremely useful for him.

Is that a Win7 only thing? I've never had a computer that did that, laptop or desktop. I've never had Win7 though (don't like it), so I'm wondering if that's why.

I'm pretty sure it's probably a driver feature, so the question that should be asked is "What video card are you using?" It doesn't work for me and I'm using AMD.

My new laptop has not done it before but my old laptop did. It took me forever to figure out how to fix it. But yeah - I found out that it's use was for people with other monitors, tablets and the like. Seems useless on a laptop without it but I suppose that, with all the external devices you can get now, they left it as a feature.

Crazy Li : I think it's one of those things that has to be enabled in the Accessibility Options or something. I know I've had a few computers that did it and others that didn't, so that seems like my best bet, or maybe it's a driver thing, I don't know. Catalyst doesn't do it natively, so it's possible.
