I have 2 questions.


1. When you go to a flash gaming site for the first time, about how much time do you spend on the index page (assuming you were to go to one)?

2. And how much do you read on the index page?


Basically I'm asking these 2 questions to get an idea of how much content to put on a flash gaming site I'm making. Thanks.

This is a tough one but I'll try to answer.

Well depends if I'm interested in site. Usually I only go to less then 6 sites a day. If I am interested in the product I will stay and read a lot. Sites that update constantly I find myself viewing the home page a lot more but if updates don't occur chances are I view it less. Since I know your making the site and I'm a member I'm a lot more interested and I view it everyday.

My view is, give enough to make the user interested don't shove too much text down their throats especially if it's a gaming site with people who are more visual.

From what I've seen and suggested to you so far I think it's enough to get people interested in site. It's all about hooking and worst thing to do is to loose the person in a sea of too much info on the home page. It's fine for other pages but for home page keep it short and make it visual

Well, i spend a good bit of time on the index page looking for a game i wanna play. I read a good bit on the index page.
