I consider modern day hip hop to be a joke compared to the way hip hop used to be when it first came out. You had nothing but dancing at first then it went into gangsta rap then all of this techno crap just started coming around. The techno was only good for the 80s when everyone was sampling off of Kraftwerk whom are unsung heroes of hip hop.

Rap. I hate 99% of rap.

Those guys are not Thug; they're driving around in hundred thousand dollar limos drinking bottled fizzy water and blowing thousands on ugly jewelry while singing about how they 'come from the street' and are 'soldiers'. It's pathetic. Plus, the constant putting down of women, the attempted glamorization of gang life and killing people, and the constant swearing-why it's ok for an African American to call another African American a word that would get any white guy shot is still incomprehensible to me-the whole genre is just stupid and pointless.

I have found at least one song I like in just about every genre that I have listened to, but I do not like hardcore gangster rap, or that screaming heavy metal crap I mean you aren't singing and your not doing anything special with an instrument so I don't think it should even be called music. I used to have a huge thing against country music until I worked at an old car garage with this 60 year old mechanic that would throw a fit if you changed the station, now that is what I listen to the most.

I am tolerant and actually like a variety of music genres, and although I dislike most pop music from any "era" or decade, there are the few exceptions.
