Wow, this game, this game. I remember back in the day I played the original Pokémon Pinball. You remember? You had to put a battery in the back of the game for it to rumble? Yup, that was a great game. Anyway, I see I'm trailing off topic a little. Pokémon Pinball R&S is a great, fun, interesting spin on the normal Pokémon games. You can't just do the same old thing, right? Though I find this game slightly hard to control, that doesn't keep me from playing this, somewhat classic, of a game. Now onto the ratings!
Graphics: 8- There are some nice animations in the game, which I enjoy very much. And the details on some of the legends are pretty nice. The graphics are just pretty typical for a game of this era, is all I have to say
Sound: 8- And we are back to the least effective part of the review. Is someone seriously going to consider not playing the game because of the sound? Anyway (sorry about that) the sound is pretty nice, everything you bump into give a nice little sound effect, gives off a little dazzling effect like a regular pinball machine.
Addictive: 7- This game will hardly get stale. Always new Pokémon to catch, two different styles of gameplay, and all sorts of features will keep you playing on until you reach the very end!
Story: 4- Come on, its a Pinball game! What do you expect? The magical fairy getting her Pinball stolen by the evil team of Witches and such? In short, this game has pretty much no story, besides the fact you have to catch 200+ Pokémon. I guess that's a story?
Depth: 10- There is so much to the game. Many levels, minigames, 200+ Pokémon to capture, and more, gives you hours on end of amazing game play. But there is an end, like almost every game. But, you can still play on, but your not really going for anything except for a high score increase, maybe?
Difficulty: 5- I find it hard to change all the controls to my taste. I cannot find out how to change the L+R triggers to my taste, either. Any time I change them, its still the same button you have to press. Because the L and R button are on opposite sides of the keyboard, I have to physically turn my keyboard around so I press them correctly. But other then that, its not too difficult of a game. Some of the minigames of legendary catching is a little difficult, but they are easy to accomplish once you get the hang of it.
Wrapping things up: The game is a great spin from the original Pokémon Pinball, and the Gaming franchise itself. Loads of gameplay, countless things to do, and an expanded "pokedex" allow hours and hours of amazing fun for any gamer who's looking for a new way to enjoy the Pokémon franchise! I really hope that you enjoyed my review of Pokémon Pinball, R&S, and I hope that you read my other reviews! Until next time, Buh-bye! Wow, this game, this game.
