Here is a review of a sonic game that came a year after the first game...

Sonic 2 on Sega Genesis!

How to play: Once again, you play as the hero, Sonic who finds out that robotnik attempts to take over the world again after failing to do so in sonic 1, you can also play as tails, a two-tailed fox although he can't fly in this game, (which means the tails don't have a purpose yet) he can fly from sonic 3 all the way to the current game which is called "Sonic 4: Episode 2". Tails first appeared in this game and is also Sonic's friend, which means that tails always tries to keep up with sonic wherever sonic goes. You get 3 lives again, you can get continues by getting 10000+ points at the end level bonus from the timer and the rings that you have when you cross the sign at the end of each level. You can't save, so if you Game Over without continues, you might end up making a rampage, and it is a long game, too!


Graphics - 10
Again, the graphics are great, some sprites are probably remodeled, there are so many new "awesome sauce" designs. It is so great to look at super amazing designs, like in the casino night zone. I am giving the graphics a 10.

Sounds - 8
So many sounds from the first game were recycled into the sequel, but there isn't many new sounds. Yes, we all know the first game's sounds and music. There isn't that much to say, but I give the sound a 8.

Addictiveness - 7
This game is fun to try to pick up and play, if you played sonic 1, you HAVE to play this game! Like what I use in some of my reviews, I could glue my eyes to my TV when playing games that I like/love. I will 7 the addictiveness rating.

Depth - 7
There are many zones in this game, but unfortuantly, you can't save which brought up the depth, since I could stress very badly. There are nearly 15 zones in total and most of the acts contain 2 acts per zone, 1 zone has 3 acts, and two zones have one act. I will also 7 the depth.

Story - 7
The story of the game is again, robotnik plans to take over the world again due to failing to do it because of sonic. Now robotnik vows revenge and he creates more ways to take down sonic for good. Sonic will not let stuff like that happen so he and his new friend, "Tails" set off to stop robotnik from doing anything worse to the "mobius" planet. I give the story a 7.

Difficulty - 7
The difficulty starts out slightly harder than the first zone of sonic 1, but now it gets harder slower, I gave up playing through the game before I get to the hazy cave zone because it is a little hard and it is a little boring trying to store up extra live for the last bosses of the game. I give the the difficulty a 7 for the 4th time in a row!

Overall - 8.5
This is a good game, but why did I rate it a 8.5? Here are the reasons:

- Confusing to get continues without cheating.
- Hard bosses.
- No save battery. (Main reason why I gave the game a 8.5)
- Some levels are confusing. (Sometimes, you can't tell where you have to go and you could get stuck in a loop again and again infinitly.)

You can't miss the sequels, even the classic game. Try this out!

I got a Genesis (It works), and I got this game! Is a really good game, but I prefer Sonic the Hedgehog 3.

How about if you put sonic 3 on top of sonic and knuckles? You will get "Sonic 3 & Knuckles" which is my most favorite sonic game out of the whole franschise.

starwars293 : Yes, I an making huge great reviews nowadays, because when I started with my first ever review, I was very lazy. A few reviews later, I make 125-200 word reviews. Then, I make 250-375 word reviews. Now, I make 500+ word reviews which is a huge timeline from back in 2010 to the reviews I had from February 2012 through my June 2012 review.
