I have both contacts and glasses and I do alternate on which ones I wear for the day. As a general feeling though, i much prefer my contacts. The reason being is because of the fact I have such horrible eyesight, I have to wear one or the other all the time. With contacts, I can lay down on the couch while resting my head without worrying. With glasses, I have to lay my head down in some less comfortable way so I  am not putting pressure on them causing them to bend or something. If I am watching TV or something, I can't just take them off to lay down because then I can't see what I'm watching. Mechanical stuff also happens to glasses a lot to. One of the screws eventually gets loose at the most inconvenient times, and it causes your glasses to be extremely crooked or the lens is not effectively secure. I never have these issues with contacts. So I wear my contacts more often than my glasses. However, if I am just going to have a lazy day of doing nothing, I'll just put on glasses.

rcarter2 :    That's a great reply and explains in detail many of the reasons I refused to wear glasses in the first place.  Of course, the main reason was how I would look and get made fun of in school but I imagine if I had bad eyes from a young age and gotten used to glasses very early my own reasons would have never been an issue.  That's where your reasons come in and show me that I most likely would have switched to lenses anyway eventually.

Yeah, we didn't exactly realize how bad my eyes were until I was in third grade. By that time, kids are still young, but old enough to be at that point where glasses aren't a thing that kids get made fun of for. So that is good. I actually didn't get contact lenses until I was a freshman or sophomore. They really are better for convenience. One day though, I might plan on getting lasik when the price for it goes down. Then I can just be done with both for about 10 years.

I've never had contacts. I really want them so bad though because glasses can be so retarded. They slip on your face, so delicate and a pain in the butt to handle and if you got into any kind of physical activity they can fall of your face at just about any moment.

I have tried contacts before, but I could never get the hang of them. I just never felt comfortable with them in my eyes, so I just wear my glasses. I think I look better with glasses anyways, maybe that's just because I'm so used to seeing myself with them on.

I used to not even like my glasses though. When I first got them, it took me several months to get used to wearing them. Maybe it's the same with contacts.

I don't know why, but I find glasses sexy. My fiance wears them because he literally can't wear contacts. That's fine with me, though.

I gotten used to wearing my glasses a little more than I wore my contacts. To me, it feels somewhat easier and comfortable.

I prefer glasses, mainly due to the fact that I've had bad eyes since I first got around computers and video games, (around 6 years old) and the fact I've never liked the idea of contacts.

I wore glasses until I was about 12 when I decided to get contacts. I don't take them out when I sleep like I should, so I go several weeks without taking them out.

I started wearing glasses 2-3 months ago. I had to because I am near sighted and I need glasses because in my classroom, I sit in the back and I need to be in the front to see.
