The new and highly anticipated game of the year has finally
come out this month. Mass Effect 3 has taken stores by storm with selling
almost 1 million copies in the fist 24 hours that the game was released
according to gamerzines.com. However, despite the high reviews critics gave
Mass Effect. Fans were not too happy with the ending. According to ign.com
BioWare is considering changing the ending that most fans have deemed as
controversial.

Mass Effect 3 has seven different endings. These endings are just like the other two games
depends on the choice that you have made during the game and in the other two
games if you decide to import characters from the other two games. However,
apparently there has been a huge glitch in the 360 version of Mass Effect 3
that it will not import characters from the first Mass Effect. Apparently,
according to ign.com, Mass Effect 3 has some issues with importing saves. If
you have a save that used a cloud save the save file won’t open. As a result it
has a problem with uploading the Shepard from the first Mass Effect. But
honestly if one would think about it Mass Effect 3 shouldn’t be able to upload
the Shepard from the first one, (spoiler alert) since in the second game
Shepard is killed them reconfigured with implants.

Now the big news in this story is the fact that BioWare has agreed to change the ending of
Mass Effect 3. Apparently, fans were left with too many questions as to what
had happen to Shepard and his crew. The ending are based mostly one how strong
your character is combined with both the single player and multiplayer stats.
However, you don’t have to play the multiplayer part of the game to get all
seven different endings.

What drove fans crazy about the ending is they felt that they had no choice in the out
come of what happens in the end. That the choices that they made through out
the game and through out the trilogy did not matter at all and the game that was well known for
allowing players to choose the outcome of the game became a huge disappointment in the end
which is what has cause an up roar with most of the fan who love the game and trilogy.
The fan have all said that the game is great but they were really disappointed in
the ending of the game. So as a result some of the fans have been posting their
disgust in the ending. As a result BioWare announced Wednesday March 21 that
they will be redoing the ending to Mass Effect 3. This will be done as a DLC
(Down-Load Content) according to a post on the company’s main site. More
information on this will be available in April 2012.

I haven't had the time to pick up the game and start playing it yet, but I am planning on it. I loved the first two games.

I keep reading about the ending. It seems kinda shallow, but hopefully they change it up a little and it all works out. We shall see.

I have heard that the ending was bad, but I didn't know it would drive them to recreate a better ending for the game. maybe it'll be better

I find it pathetic honestly.

If gamers don't like an ending, boo f***ing hoo.

Deal with it.

That's what comes with beating a game. You may not get a perfect ending.

At least you had fun playing the game right?

It wasn't that the ending was bad it was the fact that the core players of the trilogy felt like it didn't matter what choices they made during the trilogy the ending would end up being the same. But loads of people still like the game ending included but there was also a fan base that was raising money almost $70,000 in fact to get BioWare to change the ending. But the game has a lot of problems with it the fact that you can't used the Shepard from the first Mass Effect in the 360 version is just one of the many minor things that are wrong with it. Fans are pissed off that Taili the Quarian looks like a human under her bio suit. Fans thought they got ripped off on a huge storyline with her. There were also other things that fans and other producers who played the game caught. But over all the game (from what I hear) is very very good just leaves a lot of questions that the fans felt were not answered with the ending. Also what pissed off a lot of fans is the fact that there was day one DLC available for the game. It made it look like the game wasn't finished and they decided to finish it off with DLC. This made a lot of fans angry because of the thought that BioWare is just going to milk the fans for the DLC instead of actually finishing the game. For more information look at ign.com that is were i got all this information out and they are constantly talking about this still even after BioWare announced that they will be listening to their fans and changing the ending of the game come this April.

That's awesome that they've decided to change the ending of the game based upon feedback of reviewers and customers, it really shows that they care about the consumer.

I didn't like the original ending, it's very anti-climatic.

legacyme3 : I feel kind of the same way.  I felt like the game ended the way it should have though there was one confusing aspect; which was the result of poor planning/writing.  But it was a minor annoyance.  I don't believe that it necessitated the release of additional content.  But I do have to had it to bioware, it is a damn classy thing to appeal to their fans and try to make them happy (especially that it is free).  Will I play over the end again to rewatch the new ending?  Most likely, but honestly it was very much unneeded.  I'm saything there is still a good chance that people are going to be complaining even after the released content.

Well now I'm glad that I didn't have the money to purchase it right when it came out. Hopefully by the time I get the game, all this BS will have been worked out and there will be a new ending waiting for me once I get here

I heard they were just adding to the ending rather than change it. Just to explain the players concerns without changing the ending.

Yeah, I've heard that the new extended ending has been added for people. Has anyone taken a look at it to see what it's like? I still haven't played the game yet, so I guess it doesn't really affect me one way or the other, I just wanted to see what they added to it.
