I was playing this games on my Wii:  Kiri5 Star (Hack of Super Mario Bros).  I was playing it on my Wii (using an emulator) and I seem to have beaten my high score on Vizzed and I know that I would get banned if I uploaded them in the competition, but if any mod would let me do this, I would thank them.  I will upload them here to show you how badly I beaten my high score and trust me, these are real.

On Kiri5 Star, they were the same difficulty.  If you allow me to replace my screen shots in their competitions, I would appreciate it, but for now I will just wait for a response if I can or not because this is a big difference.  I seem to do better on playing them with a controller than with a keyboard.

I think if it was allowed you for this I foresee it becoming confusing, which is why it's set up the way it is to take the screens from scores from the on-site emulator.

tRIUNE :  You know, I removed the Donkey Kong screen shots because I played it on Vizzed and I actually beat my high score that was on my emulator.  So this is the only game that I am going to mention instead.

I'm really not sure I understand what you're saying... you're able to submit a screenshot for a highscore without playing it through the emulator on Vizzed?

tRIUNE :  I am talking about changing my screen shot in the competition section.  It says that any screen shots submitted that are not made from NESCafe may result and a ban and/or lose Viz.

What that means typing in a score for the description that doesn't match the score in the screenshot. I'm not sure if you would be able to submit a screenshot unless it was through Vizzed's emulators.

In short, even if you were able to submit a screen from your own game onto Vizzed, I don't think that would be fair to the others who play on the emulator. For one thing, they have to use the arrow keys while you get your own controller. And perhaps for future games, there may be bugs on the emulator version that don't exist on a system version.

And besides, people can't say they got a high score on a game, like Mario Bros, just by submitting a screen. They have to prove themselves in a controlled and live environment (in this case, the NEScafe emulator). I'm sure you have the best of intentions, but I don't think you can call it a high score if it was done outside the emulator. Just my thoughts. =/

EDIT: And for future reference, as far as I know, staff cannot replace those screenshots. I think the only one with that authority would be the globals or David.

Even if they could be replaced, it wouldn't be fair. I really don't think you cheated, but if we allowed you to use scores done on a different emulator, we would have to let everyone do it. I know it is frustrating, but let's be real here. Not everyone would be  Using the NESCafe, we know that nobody is using save states, or things like that. It is a level playing field for everyone. Other peoples emulators can allow them to use save states, or other manipulations that enables them to get a score they could never pull off without cheating. If everyone was allowed to use their own emulators, or even the RGR plug-in, a lot of dishonest people would manipulate the crap out of that. Again, I think you are an honest person and didn't cheat for your score, but we can't say you can do it because we think you are honest and say no to others. It really does just makes it fair for everyone. 

rcarter2 :  Actually, I saved that image as a saved state, but I did not save anything else before I uploaded this one.  I so use save states, but not when it comes to beating a high score.  So technically, I saved stated an image that shows the game over, there is no going back and redoing the mistakes you made.
I do understand what you are saying.  I just think that it is not cool to play a game that has a keyboard as a controller and so much lagging.  I know how badly I beat my score since there was no lag in mine and I used a controller (Wiimote).  I just wished that there would be a way of like showing how many times you save stated and if it is more than 1 than that means that you automatically cheated.  That would be an awesome idea of doing.

Marcmoney : I think you might be happy to know that we shouldn't have to use NESCafe much longer when we want to compete for high scores. I agree, the NESCafe is super laggy, and the RGR Plug-In is much better. The upgraded RGR Plug-In that David is in the process of purchasing should have a Time Trial Mode too, so we will be able to compete for the high scores using the RGR Plug-In instead of the laggy NESCafe. With that, we should also not have to be limited to NES games with the high scores. 

rcarter2 : We do have VNES correct? I was almost sure that I saw that the last time I was going through the RGR. That is not laggy pretty much at all. Probably the best emulator that I have ever seen aside from the RGR it self. Though maybe I am mistaken.

I have seen VSNES. I am not 100% sure what the emulators for the other systems are, but I think you might be right. Problem is, our current version doesn't have Time Trial Mode, which is why we have to  stick with NESCafe for high scores. But that should change with the new Plug-In.
