I know you have a Playstation and an Xbox...do you have a Dreamcast?

For sure you'll want to play Shenmue 2 for the Xbox! And the first Shenmue for Dreamcast if you have it.

For RPG I'd say get a PS3 (the might not be very many game, but atleast it has good backwards compatability to play with your old PS2 RPG's)

I would love to get a PS3, but I'm trying to save as much money as I can for going to college so I can't spend that big of an amount right now. I just wanted to buy a new game to keep me busy til then...

Here, trade in an Xbox or PS2 with 10 games and get a PS3 for only $399 (or maybe $299).
So just goto cashconverters (or your local 2nd hand store place) and buy a heap of cheap, crap games

I'm just guessing on the 10 - 20 hours. I tried to do everything in the game so I probably spent around 50 hours. And that is a long time considering how detailed teh game is, how much voice acting, etc.
