I recently read the crucible. It was such a boring book. I hated it. I had to read it for school. I don't know why or how this will even help me in life.

I recently finished reading the book anthem and took a test on it. It was a pretty short book, I think most readers could finish it in a day it was about 100 pages which is pretty short. But it was about a society that was completely equal and no one could say I . I though this book was pretty sad to be honest and I had to read it in my advanced English class. So that is what I finished reading recently and it was pretty good. I just hope that our society never turns out like that. Lie there was miserable. If you said the word I , you would be burned to death! Now imagine that!

I just recently finished a book called "Something For Joey" for English class. It is based on a true story, and it is really good. It is also sad though.

I have just finished reading The Odyssey

I am 99 percent sure that my English teacher will make my class write an essay about it. Unfortunately. But then again, we wouldn't have read The Odyssey if we weren't going to write about it any one way shape or form.

I did like it a bit, not a lot, but a bit. My English teacher forcing us to make one page summaries was really frustrating and annoying, and took the fun out of actually reading it.

I would recommend The Odyssey for those who want to learn a little more on Greek mythology, or just read any epics by Homer.

I just finished reading "Dairy of Anne Frank" for an assignment at school, I had already read it, although we had to read it again, it was pretty good, save for it being a bit sad at times.

Although, for entertainment, I just read the whole "Children of The Red King" series, it's about a kid named Charlie bone, who has the power to go through paintings, and goes to an academy with other kids with supernatural powers. I won't spoil anymore, and I would suggest reading it, it is an awesome series.

I'm reading Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes and TH White's The Once and Future King. Both are very good books (or collections of short-ish stories, I suppose, in Sherlock's case), and I would definitely recommend them to fans of mystery and fantasy respectfully. I love these books, because I watch BBC's Sherlock and Merlin, so it's interesting to see what those shows were based off of, and how they are different. (Lancelot is in love with Arthur at one point in The Once and Future King! I was shocked, considering that I expected the classic love triangle. My teacher maintains that it was bromantic, but I think I glimpsed something more. Quite an interesting surprise.)
It's always nice to go back to the classics. Great literature shall never die!

I read Fiends by Richard Laymon,a collection of short stories, and some of them are quite good,Richard Laymon is a highly underrated author (God rest his soul),and this collection of his short horror stories show what a talent he was,the stories are not for everyone, some I didn't even like much but the stand out story was probably The Bleeder, about a guy that follows a trail of blood down a street at night and wonders where it will end

pacman1755 : I've read that book, it was pretty good.

Anyways, for my most recent book, I actually read the newest Diary of a Wimpy Kid book. I can't remember what it was called but my younger brother brought it home from school one day and I read it in about an hour. It wasn't as funny as the earlier books but there were still a couple "laugh out loud" parts. I'm currently reading One Flew Over the Cuckoos nest for my english ISU and it's actually a pretty good book. I've been a little slow on it though.

I have finished reading Ellen Foster by Kaye Gibbons. This was for English class, I don't think I would have ever read it on my own.
It wasn't so bad, but not my favorite type of book to read. The main protagonist, Ellen, went through a lot of suffering and had some revelations as the story progresses, especially about racial prejudice. She was mainly looking for a family that would take her in with loving care.

I am starting to read The Power of One by Bryce Courtenay.

One thing you should know about me is that I love books about alternative futures

I recently read a book called "Ready Player One". It is about a high school student who plays this video game called OASIS. This game took over culture and has become every one's past time. The creator of the game dies and will give his fortune to whoever finds an Easter Egg he has hidden within the OASIS. The book is about Wade's quest in finding the Easter Egg.

For those who don't know (you all should know), an Easter Egg is a hidden message found within a book or game. The first was in Atari's Adventure, where the programmer of the game, Warren Robinett, hid his name in the game to show that he created the game. My personal favorite is in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. When you are about to meet Princess Zelda you can see paintings of Bowser, Peach and Mario in the castle.

Favorite Easter Eggs would be a cool post, but I don't know how to make a post. So if anyone likes the idea of an Easter egg post, feel free to use it.

I actually just re read the Percy Jackson series and I really liked it. I like to read in my spare time and whenever I can in school, but it really becomes hard to do that because I am always surrounded by bozos every which way and it becomes hard to drown them out.  But nevertheless, I managed to find the time and the quiet environment to read this series. I sign up fr the library at school where it is actually quiet and I can read in peace...

I am going to be reading catcher in the rye for English coming up next weekend, I have a copy here at home and I am going to start reading it so I can be ahead of the game for English class. My teacher swears it is a good book! Better get started!
