Today steroid man breaked Babe's record, but he's not going in the hall of fame more like the hall of shame. Hall of steroids would fit him perfectly. Now this guy has been juiced up with steroids for years, but nobody saids how long he has been on steroids. This guy doesn't deserve to be a player anymore. Does anybody else agree of what I said?

Babe didn't have the record. And at least say his name Barry Bonds. Plus although we have tons of evidence against him we still haven't proved it. Also he will probably make the Hall of Fame because before he started using Steroids (suposedly 99) he was having a Hall of Fame career, however he may not make it because they also consider things outside of baseball sometimes. But no it doesn't look good for Bonds.

Actually Babe did have a record, but what I am trying to say that Bonds beat his record 714 homeruns, but Bonds will never beat Hanks record which is 755. I hope I was clear of what I said. He doesn't deserve to be in the hall of fame because he used more steroids than anyother person and Babe Ruth didn't use any steroids he was just a heavy drinker.

Babe did have the record, but he didn't after Hank Aaron hit 715. And again Bonds had a Hall of Fame career before he suposedly knowingly or unknowingly took steroids, now whether he'll get in I don't know. I really hope he don't get to 756.

756 homeruns BigBob for beating Hanks record. To hit a homerun you need to hit it over a certain part. There is a yellow line that you hit over that you get a homerun and if you hit the foul poll you get a home run, but you don't if it goes beyond the foul poll its not a homerun.

Bobby suposedly Bonds testafied to a grand jury that he did unkowingly use steroids, however those testimonies are suposed to be confidencial. And two investigative journalists have wrote a book citing some 200+ sources saying Bonds used steroids. Like I say I'm pretty sure he did, but right now there is no concrete proof he did. There is an investigation in Baseball right now to see who used steroids and if Bonds used them. Bonds is also under investigation by Congress I believe for a purgery charge, because acording to the book he did know he was using steroids.

Ohhh.. I thought Babe Ruths record was the highest...
I would like to see him be removed from the high home run list for that, like, disqualafied from the list, but still aloud to play BB.

Babe Ruth hit a majority of those home-runs with cancer though didn't.
I believe justifies him as the best.

Oh everyone I know that knows about Baseball would say that Babe Ruth is the best player ever period. Ted Williams comes in as the second best hitter ever probably. Babe Ruth was a pitcher for a little while, that just adds to his greatness. This was a time when the ball was dead. When Babe hit 60 he actually had more homers than one of the other teams did. The career record was 138 so from there to 714 he was making a new record. That's what I call shattering a record. Aaron has to be given a lot of credit too though, he had to have armed guards with him because he was black. (That's why I get so irratated when Barry says that all the controversy around him is there because he's black. Granted there are still some idiots out there that don't like him because he's black, but it's not the majority or anywhere close.) Aaron had many more people against him simply because he was black. Another thing about Ruth's home runs were the ball wasn't nearly as well made as it is now, so I bet it was a lot harder to hit. Pitchers could throw a spit ball among other things that have been banned now. The final thing is some place center field's fence was over 500 ft away and a historian looked at all of Babe Ruth's flyball outs and estimated in the modern day he would have over 1000 home runs.

I'm not racist against blacks or anything, but Hank and Ruth and the other great hall of famers will always be better than Bonds because they didn't use steroids even if it was back then, I bet they wouldn't use it because they are good people.

Ruth was a huge acoholic and womanizer. I'm not quite sure if that classifies as a good person or not.

Aaron did seem like a really good person and as far as I've heard was a good person.

Well its better than being on juice. Would you rather be with a man that cheats his way through or a alchoholic that never cheated in his entire life and didn't take any legal drug?

Bonds is a joke, he shouldn't be in the hall of fame... Did he use steriods with Conseco? Didn't Conseco write a book proving Bonds was an abid steroid user?

You guys are forgetting about the best all time player ever... Kirby mutha-f-ing Puckett G... He may have not have hit many homers but he holds the record of highest average of a right-handed hitter at .318...... YEAH G

Ohh yeah I almost forgot about him there is a guy in Japan that hit more homeruns that Hank Aaron. Yeah forgot his name and I think he hit around 880 homeruns, but now I forgot about how much, but I know its more than Hanks homeruns. I don't think he used steroids and probably didn't because no one mention it.

Stephen if you are going to say something not well know you really have to have a source. I will probably be able to point out reasons why this happened if it did if I know more about it.

DNG Puckett was good, but he's not in the conversation with Ruth,, Williams, Mays, Aaron, etc. And again, Bonds was having a hall of Fame Career without steroids. Yes Canseco did right a book, and so did someone else. I still personally believe that Bonds did use some form of steroids, but until they have proof they can't remove him from baseball, and either way he should probably be in the hall of fame. There is a strong chance he would still of obtained 500 homeruns, and he would still be the only member of the 500 HR's 500 Steals club.

Thats what I reckon. Sometimes here, you hear about someone playing soccer, and they punch out the umpire, then he gets banned from soccer for life

Theres no evidence that he wasnt using steriods at the start of his career to (im just guessing, he mighta had drug tests then...)

Stephen: If you read over my previous posts, you would see that he suposedly admited that he unknowingly used Steroids in a Grand Jury hearing. Those heariings are confidential. The Sand Francisco Chronicle said that in the hearing Bonds said that he did unknowingly use steroids, but we have no proof that, aside fromt the Chronicle's claim, he actually said that. Also Stephen two men, investigative reporters, have written a book called Game of Shadows that says Barry Bonds knowingly used steroids from 1999 to 2003. Now if we believe that's true, then if he had not of used steroids there is a decent chance he could of gotten 500 home runs anyways. He also has 500 steals in his career and as I said he is the only person in that club, I don't think anyone is even 300/300. If he got into the 500/500 club legit, then there is no possible way he would not be voted into the Hall of Fame, whether he will or not I do not know. Saying all that I do not want him breaking the HR record, nor being second all time, but at the same time we don't have concrete proof that he did use steroids. Also if we are too take all these steroids reporting at face value then it seems many players were using steroids, how many of them have 700 HR's? Again I do believe he used steroids, but right now they can't just kick Bonds out.

Bobby: Bonds was a small guy early on, he stole quite a few bases then. Everyone is looking at about 1998 til 2003. In 98 McGwire and Sosa went on the single season HR chase and broke the record of 61 HR's in a season. McGwire was in a televised congressional hearing and pretty mucfh everbody assumes that he took steroids fromt the way he talked. He basically commited media suicide. He had been retired for 2 or 3 years. Canseco was the one that originally wrote a book about players using steroids. I'm not sure around what years this book was based, but I'm pretty sure Canseco retired before 98. Now the story from Game of Shadows, if I remember correctly, is that Barry got jealous of McGwire because he was getting all the attention (I believe Bonds thought he was getting a lot of the attention because he was white), so he decided to use steroids to break the single season home run record. Now that (the part about Bonds being jealous) is just conjecture. The main problem with all the steroids stuff surrounding Bonds is as I've said we do not have concrete proof that Bonds used steroids, and he has not failed the tests since they were instituted.
