Nope, all I know is Helium, and Oxygen. I'm not much for knowing how heavy/dangerous chemicals are.

I was a chemistry major in undergrad so you like memorized it by default because you use it so much. Its really not that difficult and it is highly organized. I was pissed when I had to take my PCATS without a periodic table too!! was glad that day that i did have most of it memorized  -------------------- |

not exactly memorized but I remember most of the elements by symbol but not order. it's kinda hard to do that, though not for some as mentioned in these posts but it could turn out as fun trying to do so.

I tried to memorize it in my chemistry class so I wouldn't have to look at it every two seconds, but I was completely unsuccessful. I don't know why I thought I would be able to memorize it, but there you go.

In my courses, I have had to. For my final, part of it was being able to completely filling in the periodic table. Using the table we filled in, we had to be able to put elements they gave us in order of things like atomic radius, electro-negativity, ionization energies, etc. It also would give us an element, pick any of it's electrons that it chose, and we had to be able to tell how many electrons it had that goes that same direction. Stuff like that. It was grueling. -------------------- |
