Due to being mostly a poet when it comes to writing, I will use lots of rhythm. It just makes me more comfortable, as well. For those who don't get the title, it's an idea I had when I watched a review for a horror movie called Cat People that never even had cat people. This is where the idea comes from. It may take cues from the more violent 80's horror, but I won't go too into detail, as this is a forum for tamer stuff. I might turn this into a full blown novel of some sort if it turns out good.
Cat People In: An Actual Storyline With Cat People by Klawed Flaw
Prologue
There was a lonely boy who went by the name of Stealth; he lived in the woods with some friends. Adults would ask why this is. Parents would want to adopt them out of pity. The two other children he lived with was a girl who hadn't even had time to figure out what happened to her family, and a boy who was a missionary's son all alone as he was disowned. These children lived in the shadows of the trees, and never wanted the world to know what they were when the moon rose.
A secret they kept so darkly hidden, not even the amount of animal species Adam named in the Garden of Eden could be as hidden. These children were all taken from their homes due to anger, hatred, and shame. The leader, Stealth, never told of his pain. He simply told the group he was seen as a shame by his windowed mother. The girl was thrown out of her foster home a week after she was taken in, simply because she wasn't taught proper manners by her birth parents. The boy who was disowned, well, he was into black magic, and this resulted in his father abandoning him out in the city the group lived close to called Neverend.
Each of these children were cursed to walk the Earth with a life that had no end. Eternally, as they felt their souls decay, their hearts would never cease to beat. They were what was known as Cat People. I'll tell you how they came to be such a thing, and possibly the results afterwards.
What was a disgusting life for Stealth already, as a boy who was too scared to be anything but a facade, took a turn for the worst one night. A creature with the sharpest fangs you'd ever seen, and the most demonically yellow eyes to be in the glare of, attack the boy. It bit him on his legs, which resulted in him transforming into what his parents almost died of shock from seeing. He became a savage beast in the form of a lion that just had the start of a growing mane. In revenge for the abuse his parents put him through, he killed them out of bestial anger. The day after that traumatic night, he saw the bodies of his parents, and cried. He didn't know what to think, as he had no memory of his deed.
The young girl was an orphan who was fortunate enough to find foster parents. They saw her starving one night, and took her in. They took care of her, and treated her like their own. Sadly, her happy life would end as the first week was the day they threw her out for nothing more than the death of their pets. She had no idea she was responsible, as she was unable to keep the memories of her actions as a cat person after she was human again.
The boy of the missionary led a typical missionary's son life. The only thing different was that he was into black magic. The night he became a cat person, he was performing a spell to bring a dead child to life. He brought the child to life, but the child was brought back as a savage cat person. The boy risked his arm just for the mother so she could live another day, but things took a turn for the worst when he found himself transforming into the same creature. In intense fury and rage, he destroyed the village and the people within it. The next day, his father discovered his magic books, and threw him out of the car when they returned to Neverend, and he was left to fend for himself.
I'll write more in a word processor if this was good. Due to being mostly a poet when it comes to writing, I will use lots of rhythm. It just makes me more comfortable, as well.
