I am bumping this for a couple reasons... The first is that I think my last request is something that seriously needs prayer, and I don't believe the family is saved. Also, I've got another request. I'm heading to Canada in less than 2 weeks, and I'd love some prayer for safe travels and stuff. Thanks to all!

Magma_Cube : It is spam because this thread is designated to be a place for people to post prayer request. Also, everyone has something to pray about, whether if someone is well or not, for praise or for seeking help. Regardless of you believing in Him or not, He is still there, and even when we are in rebellion, God is still very fond of you.

PixelBrick : Not to be offensive or anything, but everyone needs prayer. Even if your dad was the worst criminal on earth, I'd still pray for him. At the least, I can pray he changes his behavior.

mrfe :  Trying to 'like' your post, but it just kicks me back to the first page in this thread and won't let the 'like' submit. Any idea why? :/ This is the second time it's happened to me today, and it's not due to hitting my max. When you hit the max, the 'like' buttons become un-clickable.
 Never mind. I guess it is actually due to reaching the limit.

PixelBrick : EVERYONE deserves prayer. If your father is doing the worst thing I could imagine, he DEFINITELY deserves prayer. He might need to take God into his life, get right with God, etc etc. No one on earth could ever NOT deserve prayer, for one reason or the other.

Be careful with your emotions. We all face trials and triumphs, but if we let those situations build bitterness in our hearts, how are we being an example of God? As awful as things might be, try not to have a spiteful or unforgiving heart. The best way to show someone the right heart... is to exemplify that heart yourself.

*I need to visit this thread more*  I will pray for you man!  Although we only might have an idea of what happened, I certainly cannot say that I understand how you feel.  I can only imagine.  Thing is, God knows.  He knows everything about you and about what happened.  So I will pray to the Father, our Maker that he will heal your heart.  That He will lift you up and fill you with His joy and that hate and bitterness will not have a chance to settle, regardless of what happened.  I pray for your dad - wherever he finds himself in this life (spiritually speaking) - that God will meet him, heal him and change him where change is required.  We cannot change people, we can scream, shout, kick, curse, resent - it will not change the person.  ONLY God is able.  That's my hope and my prayer for you.

I've been humbly reminded of this a lot in the past two or three weeks, so I thought it would be good to mention here:  Let's all remember to pray for those who are against us.  I'd like prayer for people who have no tolerance, can't find it within themselves to forgive, and think that their way is the only way.  I'd like us to pray for those who don't know Christ, or those that may be straying from a Godly path, as well as the Christian who is struggling with a particular sin.

I'd also specifically like to ask for prayers over my principal and my students.  My students are taking a state wide test this year instead of the normal graduation exam, and this test is HARD.  All teachers are stressing over it because even our best students would struggle with the test.  Hardly any of our students can even add, much less put three processes together to solve one problem.  As if the situation isn't stressful enough, the superintendent is trying to push for the test to be FIFTY percent of the childrens' final grades.  This is absolutely insane, and we teachers will be judged on the kids' ability to pass this test.

I really, really, REALLY need some immediate prayers.  I really think I should have taken another day off, because I feel like I might lose it today.  I'm trying to grade notebooks and haven't even confronted the kids yet.  But I feel like if I hear one complaint, I'm going to lose any patience I have.  Please pray for God to calm my spirit right now, because I am -extremely- upset. I think this just needs to be a day that I give my kids busy work and tell them to sit there quietly and not make a peep. I don't know that I have the patience for anything else today...  I haven't had a day like this in a long time, but I'm trying to stifle it because I feel it coming...
