I've FINALLY done it. After just over 12 years to the day, but I've reached 1,000,000 post exp as of this post, making me only the 8th member to achieve this milestone.

What I find absolutely hilarious about this journey is the stark contrast between the two halves. It took me a little over 10 months after registering to reach 500k—the halfway mark— but it took another 11 years to finally reach 1 million. I should've reached it a long time ago, but I've had too many long stretches of inactivity over the years... For instance, I made only 15 posts in all of 2021 and a whopping 5 posts in 2022. Unfortunately, I don't have the exact data to determine how long I've been lingering in the 900k range, but I'm glad to finally be out of it once and for all, lol.

This TDV has been an excellent motivator for me to finally achieve two big goals of mine: reaching 8,000 total posts (not necessarily a milestone of mine, but something I wanted to do after being stuck in the 7,000s for over 7 years) and 1,000,000 post exp. When I logged in last August, I was sitting at around 960k total words. At the time, I was only checking in, but after looking at my stats and how close I was to achieving some of the site goals I set for myself an eternity ago, I decided it was finally time to make it happen. Unfortunately, the summer TDV had just ended when I came back, so I had to bide my time until the next one since I figured that would be the best opportunity to push through the last 40k words.

Anyway, achieving this milestone 12 years after I made it feels both surreal and rewarding. I have 2,000,000 post exp listed as the next goal on my profile, but I think that one will have to remain blank forever given the site's activity, and I'm completely fine with that. As far as I'm concerned, any activity and post exp after this is just icing on the cake!

I'd like to thank Davideo7 and the amazing Vizzed community for being a part of my life these last 12 years (nearly half my life lol). I'm grateful for the countless hours of fun and good memories I've made here. I don't use social media (i.e., FB, Instagram, X, etc.—I don't consider YouTube and Discord to be social media) and I can count the number of other forums I've been a part of on one hand, but none of them ever had the same magic or tight-knit atmosphere Vizzed had during my most active years (2013-2015), so I didn't stick around. Perhaps it's nostalgia, but there's something undeniably special about Vizzed that keeps me coming back. Had I not felt compelled to check in last August, this milestone probably would've remained incomplete forever. I'm glad I did come back and decide to participate in this TDV, though. I'd forgotten how fun it can be to make 10-20+ posts a day and compete in TDV, so it's been nice to re-experience despite the lower activity.

And with that, I think it's finally time to put a big fat "X" next to a certain milestone on my profile hehe.

Congratz on the amazing milestone! It really is a massive ordeal to make it up to the seven digits, not everybody makes long wordy posts and/or an enough number of them to propel themselves to such a feat.

At first the numbers do rise very fast, but it seems that after a while you somehow get stuck somewhere. Happens with posts, words, CP... And basically any other thing you could come up with. And sometimes you even consider if it's worthy going for it or you should probably forget about it and see if eventually time gives you the chance. You did just that, and when you came back you saw a window of opportunity and seized it.

Such big feats are very hard to repeat, and even if site activity went back to its heyday it'd still be a long journey ahead. So yeah, these big milestones are rare and not many of them are still out there for veterans like you. Enjoy your achievement, it surely was a very long time coming.

The average fiction novel written for adults contains around 90,000 to 100,000 words, so you've essentially written ten novels-worth of words on Vizzed. That's a lot of typing. Congrats dude!

That's a crazy amount of words I've gotta tip my hat. It's crazy you were halfway after 10 months though I've slowly made my way into the top 40 for word count but unless I start posting reviews all the time I can't see me climbing much higher so I really respect the grind you had to pull it off after all this time. I love seeing tdv push people to hit milestones one of my favorite parts of the competition!

I'm glad you were able to reach that goal, since I know that was one of your goals coming into the month. Congratz on reaching that milestone!
