Well I thought I said I wasn’t going to do this but I decided to start a You Don’t Know Jack related project after I finished with the ride that way I could keep playing even if it wasn’t a holiday acknowledgement (which by the way this game doesn’t have) So I don’t know if I’ll play Headrush, I made it clear that this may be my last gaming season due to many factors not just computer reasons but also because Youtube took my advanced features away I can only upload ten videos a day (though I don’t think I ever have done that many) and also time, the older I get the less it’s on my side.


Gameplay and Story: There’s no story to this game, basically you answer a bunch of sports related trivia which by the way I am no good at. We also have a new host Guy Towers in his only solo hosting game (he does show up in the Ride though but nothing else) I think this might be the second game release order wise, unless XL was released at the same time as the original game

Graphics: Now since this is a specifically themed game the backgrounds would be appropriate the background color is something I would call Football Field Green, and the opening is usually different in the intro and at the start of the game when they take your information, whichever sports object like a ball or a puck shows up it will show up to attack the logo and usually sticks around for the rest of the game as the number round graphics. Also the numbers look like how numbers look on football or hockey jerseys which is a nice touch.

Soundtrack: I love what they used for the Jack Attack, it’s essentially the music that is used at Hockey Games (do they even still use it? I genuinely want to know because I’ve been watching Jets games since they returned to Winnipeg and I don’t think I’ve heard it once) I don’t know what it’s called but it's kind of the lead up notes that normally ends with CHARGE (I think they do it without it these days), and instead of singers we get sports related segues and cheers. Hmmm now why wasn’t there an anthem singing for one of the segues (yeah even if it was just the US anthem it still would have been kind of appropriate)

Addictive: I only started playing this recently because I started a project after I finished with the Ride (I wanted to do end credit catches and Fiber Optic Field Trips the latter of which I have yet to find and tape because I haven’t heard any of those ones on this game, you know I kind of wish they kept them going because they were a cool feature) it doesn’t really have me coming back for more like the other Jack games unless I’m playing in order but I’m sure it will grow on me once I have mastered this game…if it doesn’t me nostalgic for a certain tabletop hockey game (not ice hockey)

Depth: Like any standard early You Don’t Know Jack Game they have either seven question games or twenty one question games either way you get a gibberish question (yeah they don’t really offer anything new in this game aside from theming) and an insult if you get the question wrong….of if you cuss at the host I haven’t tried it myself


Difficulty: well if you are good at sports trivia prior to 1996 this game is for you but I’m not good at sports trivia in general which is why I was so hesitant to ever want to play this game I am more of a pop culture expert (which could save my life on a real game show these days), in a recent playing I ended up in the minus column (though the first time I played for gaming season the jack attack was something I knew something about….Canadian Football teams)

Post review follow up: The game itself is just okay I love watching sports but sports trivia is a weak point for me, only my math skills are stronger but just barely.

Nice! This got you a ton of words! (I'm going for posts, not words, I mean, I am today, so...) it is an interesting game to be honest.

Dauntez: well considering that they put out games for movies and tv shows I'm surprised they didn't bother to put out a Rock n Roll edition of the game as well but they probably opted not to because of either story problems or there was enough pop culture with Rock n Roll that it wasn't necessary or something
