Anyone else play Tears of the Kingdom and enjoy it?
I know that playing it seemed harder than Breath of the Wild did.
Mostly due to what felt like weapons breaking quicker and higher tiers of enemies showing up sooner. With the now patched dupe glitch, it did make things a lot easier, though, since I could just dupe silver lynel horns.
SPOILERS FOR THE FINAL BOSS/A DIFFERENT BOSS AREA HERE
The only thing I really didn't like was the final boss and, kind of, the fire temple. Compared to the difficulty of the rest of the game, once you find out you are supposed to dodge to get a flurry rush, the final boss is absolutely free. Fire Temple, though I felt like I didn't come close to solving it as it was intended. Looking it up online, it seemed like almost no one intended it the way the developers had intended.
I really liked the concept of the other heroes helping you, but they just felt really weak and hard to use. This is even after upgrading them. They felt like all they were good for was to be a distraction for the enemy. Also, the fact that you have to practically chase them down to use their powers doesn't help. It doesn't feel anywhere near as intuitive as the BOTW hero powers did.
I also really enjoyed the new powers Link got. SPOILERS FOR LINK POWERS
Ultrahand was a major upgrade to Magnesis. It also allows for the crazy creations that engineers just drool over. The 20-item limit requires people to be really creative with the options they are given.
Ascend I honestly forgot about the most. It allows for some creative solutions and, in some areas, quick traversal of an area. Other than that, it doesn't have much use, at least not that I know of.
Fuse Do I really need to explain? It really just gave creative weapon and shield combinations.
Recall While it is more meant for puzzles, I found out after I beat the game that you can recall Talus arm throws, and it knocks them down.
Another small letdown for me was that the only major sky island was the one you started on. When I saw that the first time, I was really hoping there was going to be a major area over each town. Sadly, most are just small islands that give you a quest to unlock a shrine.
