Recently I don't follow news about upcoming releases as much as I used to back in the days. Actually the only album that I know will come out this year is the Akae Beka - Rastar Records collaboration project, titled DEFENDJAH. It is going to be released tomorrow.
It is Vaughn Benjamin's first posthumous full length album release in a line on many to come.
By the way, I have read your thread about music relased posthumously, but despite it's actuality, I decided not to come up with this there, since I think his case is quite different from what you were describing in that thread.
According to Laurent "Tippy I" Alfred from I Grade Records (who also worked together with Vaughn on many projects), besides the 70+ already released ones, there are more than 30 unreleased albums in existence, that was recorded by Midnite's/Akae Beka's prolific singer/songwriter (who passed away on the 4th of November last year). So we will get "new" music from him for many years to come.
Vaughn Benjamin is my all time favourite musican and also my main role model as a person. So for obvious reasons, I am really excited about this album, like I was about every Midnite/Akae Beka release, since the very fist time I heard a Midnite song...

I'm not exactly sure since I don't really listen to albums a lot usually but probably Lana Del Rey, I love her songs and now that I think about it I should definitely listen to it more than I usually do. XD

I just found out that one of my favorite bands, Needtobreathe, is releasing their new album "Out of Body" this year! I'm excited to see what it's like. They have made some neat rock and pop music. I'm hoping it's more of a rock sound this time, but I'll be OK with either!
