World renowned DJ and producer Avicii, creator of several top-chart hits like "Levels", "Hey Brother" and "Wake Me Up", has been found dead today. The Swede had already announced his retirement back in 2016, for reasons still unknown, and his death will surely remain a mystery for a while before the world can digest such passing.

While I wasn't his number one fan, I did like his style over most of his peers. His tunes were very catchy, and he had quite a good taste to pick the voice cast for the lyrics. I saw in his songs the perfect transition from the 90s and early 2000 trance music into what it's now the mainstream dance and house music, and for an oldschool lover like me his style was much appreciated.

Musical tastes aside, the saddest bit of news is that he was 28, such a young age to leave the world. It's really sad to hear about these young passings, the many bright futures the scythe of death has put an end to.

All our feelings go to the whole family in these dark and tough moments. His music will continue to light up our lives for years.
