It's Time to Duel! MitsuriZX
Yu-gi-oh! is a trading card game widely famous for it's monster designs, deep rules and sheer variety of strategies. Yu-gi-oh! Dark Duel Stories is a game that i like to call "Forbidden Memories Portable".
In this game, you have to reduce your opponent's life points to 0,while taking care not to lose your own life points. Monsters can be set in two positions, defense and attack, and whether you are able to inflict damage or take damage will depend on those positions. There are magic cards that allow you to mess around with the rules by increasing your life points, destroying all monsters on the field,or even allowing you to summon incredibly powerful monsters.
There is a construction mode which allows you to create your own monster cards, which is somenthing that increases the Replay value of the game. The game is divided into 4 sections, the first one having the weakest duelists, and the 4th one having the greatest duelist of all times. You can even unlock new cards, and new duelists by using passwords, Now,it is not easy to obtain those passwords. You might need to use google in order to get all cards. Or,you can invite a friend to a netplay session,so you can trade your cards and get new ones.
Your deck has a limit to how many cards you can have, and how strong these cards can be. In order to increase that limit, you have to duel.
The soundtrack on this game is amazing, they are all masterpieces ported from the game "Yu-gi-oh! Forbidden Memories". It will keep you hooked during duels, those songs never get boring or annoyning. I'm just going to say : This game doesn't has RPG elements like Pokémon Trading Card Game, but it is just as addicting.
If you have a Netplay partner, this game will get pretty competitive, otherwise, you will have to use those secret passwords in order to duel new duelists. It is a game that i highly recommend for Yu-gi-oh! fans, especially the ones that have played "Forbidden Memories". But,everyone is welcome to play and adapt to the rules of the game. Even if you don't like card games, this one will definitely surprise you.
Also, you can fuse monsters and get stronger monsters as a result, and your cards have types. Some types can instantly win over other types,so it kind of reminds-me of Digimon. If you master fusions, you will have control over the first matches in the game. Follow my advice and you will surely prevail. And now, guess what time it is...Well,it's Time to Duel!
Ultra Important EDIT! : This game has no netplay support. So,you heard me,no multiplayer or trading! Kind of a bummer...i was expecting to be able to play with people from all round the world! All we can do is hope that they implement netplay for this game in the future. Oh well. Can't have it all.

Yugioh Dark Duel Stories Review starwars293
Hey you guys, this is starwars293 with another game review. This time, it's Yugioh Dark Duel Stories for the Game Boy Color. Ah yes, another great classic. The game was a great game. Dueling people like Kaiba, Joey and the famous and king of games, Yugi Moto/Yami Yugi. The dueling is back, but some things are need to get better cards. You start off the game with cards with 250-900 attack and all that stuff. No spells and not traps. This is because the starting stage has the really bad cards while the next stages are harder and harder.
In order to get better cards, you need to enter a password. For an example, if I wanted Dark Magician, I would need to enter that password. You can get the passwords on the gamestop website, or search up on Google, Yugioh Dark Duel Stories passwords. You also need passwords for spells and trap cards.
The duelist are the most known ones in the series, even the top three duelists. Yugi, Kaiba and Joey. You still get to duel Yami Yugi in the game, but you need to enter a password. Yes, you also need passwords in order to unlock other 5 duelists. I won't spoil it for you. Find out for yourself. I will say that one of them is Yami Yugi though, but that's all i'll say
The sound is awesome! In face, some of those themes are from Forbidden Memories. I will say that the best theme in my opinion would have to be Yami Yugi's theme. If you haven't listened to it, go search it up on Youtube. It is really catchy. In fact, some of the themes in the game are really catchy like Yami Yugi's theme.
The gameplay is pretty good. You just have to duel and be the best. That's pretty much it. You can also rematch the other duelists if you want to. Now let's rate this review
Graphics-The graphics are okay really. The card picture for the cards look pretty good like the Dark Magician card picture. Even the pictures are usually funny sometimes. I rate this a eight out of ten for the graphics
Sound-We all know that the sound is so awesome! The themes are so catchy! Mostly Yami Yugi's theme. In face, almost the whole sound track has catchy theme music! I rate this a 10 out of 10 for the sound and music
Addictivness- I would play this game again because of the dueling. It's like you're the king of games after you beat the whole game and everyone in a children's card game. I would rate this a 8 out of 10 for the addictivness.
Story-There really isn't a story. All you need to do is beat everyone in dueling and become the king of games and that's it.
Depth-The game offers some good cards. You can even added cards that are constructed from the main menu. If you don't know what i'm talking about, look through the menu when you play the game and you should see the option, construct. There you can make monster cards from card parts. You get card parts when you win a duel. I would rate this an 8 our of 10 for the depth of this game
Difficulty-This game starts off easy, then it gets hard. I would rate this a 8 out of 10 for the difficulty
Overall- Yugioh Dark Duel Stories is a great game to play and a fun game. I would rate this a 9.5 out of 10 for the overall mark of the game
Wrap things up-Yugioh Dark Duel Stories is a great and fun game to play. I would recommend to play this game if you like Yugioh.

the game breaks down too much port753
I love the Sacred Cards and Reshef of destruction because its not as complex as the real card game with special summoning and fusing cards. This is pretty much the same thing. The monsters with the effects are the same as in Sacred Cards, so I did enjoy that at first. That's pretty much all the good things about the game for me.
I myself find the music to be way too loud even when I got a song on youtube playing in another window. The graphics are crappy, but since this is the color I'll let it slide. The way to find cards to put in your deck takes FOREVER. Luckily vizzed lets you fast forward. I can't imagine having to do this on color normally. Then there is the whole fusing bs that is hard to follow. As in the real game when you can fuse monsters, you can here too. The same rule applies, that you must wait a turn. Take 1 monster that is fusion material, the other monster that could make a fusion work in your hand, and have that one in your hand be placed on top of the one on the field to fuse..... its long and risky so save before you try to fuse because if they don't work then the old card gets discarded. As in the real game, there are 5 slots for spells and traps. This game only has 1 spot. And if it's a destruction trap card like bear trap, it goes away next turn if not triggered...
My main reason why I'm going to get my refund is because this game breaks down too often for me to even play with leisure. Sometimes when I beat a duelist, I get a box with error opfc 4943 or something like that or I cant move the cursor while the music still plays.. I even got a messed up picture of the protagonists looking at something, it was a weird glitch. But anyways, this game is not worth my frustration anymore.
Oh, and I forgot to mention. Now I can't even duel anyone because the game claims I'm passed my deck capacity while I'm 200 under.... so yeah. this is great
