Sonic 1 Remastered Review Sonic 1 Re mastered Review
Introduction: When I first started it up I didn't have high expectations for it then I read the Description and I started to get interested. I didn't think it would have a lot of changes from the original game though.
Graphics: The games graphics improved from the original one sprite-wise. The graphics for the ground stayed the same, the only problem I had with them were that the sprites seemed a little bigger then the original one. The graphics were good for the time and day that it was originally made and the re-do of it made it all that better. Though it wasn't picture perfect, graphics= 7 out of 10
Sound: This is the greatest part of any sonic game! The music and the sound. This took music from a bunch of 16 bit sonic games and put them into this one great game. This was great for its time again and still great now as I listen to the music almost everyday. Sound: 10 out of 10
Addictiveness: The game isn'tisn'tthat addictive because of the new sonic games that come out. But id play it every once and awhile. Addictiveness: 2 out of 10
Story: The game has little to no story. All the player knows from reading the description is that you're a hedgehog named Sonic. Anyone new to the series from playing this version wouldnt know anything of it. 1 out of 10.
Depth: This game is long enough, it will take you about 3-5 hours to beat it with all the chaos emeralds too. Though most of it is just figuring out where to go or testing out features in the game. Thats why I give this a 6 out of 10.
Difficulty: The game proved to be annoying and for a first time player who may have no idea how to play sonic games would have trouble with it as there are no directions in the description on whats your goal. Even me who's played and beat the original version of this game has become stuck on certain parts. There were a lot of bugs I could find throughout the game mostly pertaining to the music or sound. Thought save-states made it easier and being able to carry over rings to the next zone was always something I wish I could do in the original.
Overall conclusion: This is a great game and improved some-what on the original. It added stuff I always wished would be in the game and more. Give it a try and play it. Its fun and will cure your sickness of boredom. Overall: 7.7 out of 10
