Pac-man review Zircron Swift
You know, pac-man used to be called puck-man, but they were worried that they would scratch out the "P".....yeah, I got that from Scott Pilgrim. What? You never heard of that film? Well, I'm reviewing a game, not a film, and today we're talking about pac-man. This game has a lot to talk about, but not many people talk about that kind of stuff. They know it's a fun game to play, but they don't go as in-depth as some people do. I am one of those people, and I'm going to show you why this game is simple, yet exiting at the same time.
So your a hungry yellow mutated hockey puck that wants to eat pac-dots in this maze, but you are chased by ghosts. After you eat all the pac-dots, you'll advance to the next level. Why? Why doesn't pac-man realize that he is in the same maze every time? Why is he chased by ghosts? How can he eat so much? Well, like most arcade games, they have no story, you just play the game. Also, not many people ask these questions, but it's probably for the best. What can I say? The game play is very easy to pick up, so just about anyone can play it. It is also addicting. It's always satisfying running....rolling.....how does this guy move? I like to say he walks in a wack-a, as that is the sound he makes when he moves, where was I? Oh yeah, wack-aing away from those monsters, more commonly known as "ghosts" is always fun to do, and even better when you swallow a power pellet.
This turns them blue. This some how makes you able to eat them, instead of dying when you touch them. I wonder why that is....oh well. When you eat them, their eyes comically go back to the middle box, where they are revived again. The music is incredible. Not becuase it's amazing, but how it's
not annoying. The music in game is the same two notes playing over and over and over and over and.......you get the idea, only changing in pitcxh when you eat more pac-dots. I don't know about you, but normally that would drive a player up the wall, btu here, you enjoy it, and would never say "PLEASE WILL YOU TURN IT OFFF!!!!!" and that has to be a record.
The music before and during some animations are classic and are easy to remember. You could even have them as ring tones. When you beat three roundd (or was it two?) you get a humorus animation. I never get tired of it, always makes me smile. Now for the enemies. You are chased by four ghosts. They have names you know. The red one is called "Blinky" The pink one is called "Pinky" the green-blue one is called "Inky" and the orange one is called....."clyde" They have interesting personalities. In the Japanese version, they were called "chaser" "ambusher" "fickle" and "stupid" respectfully (if you can be respectful when calling some one stupid =P), and their nick names were "red guy" "pink guy" "blue guy" and "slow guy" respectfully. Interesting, huh.
But the most interesting and most infamous thing about this game is the "Split-Screen Level". This is legendary stuff. Often called the Pac-man Bomb Screen. The game's level counter was a single 8-bit byte could therefore store only 256 distinct values (0–255). Reaching the 256th level causes the counter that is used while drawing the fruit to overflow to zero, causing 256 fruits and seven blank spaces to be drawn. And then creates the first half of the level normally, but the second half is......completed messed up. You can turn when your not supposed to, can't turn when you think you can, go off the screen and appear on the other side, it's basicly behaving in such a way that the level is impossible. The highest score possible is 3,333,360, if you can get that score, you truly are a pac-master. In fact, in 1999, Billy Mitchell offered $100,000 to anyone who could pass through the Split-Screen Level before January 1, 2000. The prize went unclaimed. Legends say that Chuck Norris was the only one to complete this level. Sadly, he was so good, the game crashed because he was so good.
Well, overall I give this game 8.4/10, this game is a classic. It's bland, but somehow able to say "No, I'm not, it seems it, but I'm rather fun" and in a way, doesn't seem bland, but rather exiting and fun to play. Give it a go.

Pac Man review for the NES! G@mehe@d
Pac Man was a famous arcade cabinet released in 1980. It had several ports having varying degrees of quality. Including the infamous Pac Man for the Atari 2600. The port I'm going to review is probably the best port for the time. The port is..... the NES version! It not only perfectly resembles the arcade version but it's got crisp controls and everything you can find in the arcade version. GRAPHICS: The graphics are nearly identical to the arcade version. There is just one thing that makes this version different. The scoring bar is at the side of the screen rather then the top of the screen. This shouldn't be a problem though.SOUND: The sound is also identical to the arcade counterpart. There is no difference what so ever. ADDICTIVENESS: For a high score contest this game will keep you on for a while. As the ghosts get faster and the power pellet becomes more useless you will want to see how far you can get. There is a "kill screen" in level 256. This is considered the end of the game because it can not be completed.DEPTH: There's just as much to offer as the arcade version. One maze that goes on forever. Until you get to the kill screen anyway.DIFFICULTY: As you progress through out the game the power pellet will become more useless. So you will have to find a way to get the ghosts to follow you in later levels if you want to get them all. The game in general takes a lot of practice and for beginners it can get frustrating.OVERALL RATING 8.9

Gobble Gobble Harley3651
Pac Man is arguably video gaming's first ever mascot. Created by Namco and released into the arcades in America in October 26, 1980. The game is simple enough. Eat pellets and avoid the ghosts. Eat a power pellet however and the ghost turn blue for a period of time allowing you to eat them. collect 10,000 points and you will earn an extra life. So do i think the game is worth your time to play? Short answer is yes. Let us see how I got to that answer with the following 7 points. Graphics 6: The graphics, while detailed for the time, are pretty simple by today's standards. That's not to say that it isn't bad to look at. Not at all. What I'm saying is that even for the time they were basic and simple. I will say that the ghost along with Pac Man (while being basic) are still pleasing to look at. Sound 8: The sounds of the game are really well done. Yeah it can be argued that the same sound for eating the pellets might get old after awhile, but i still found them pleasing to hear. The one loop of music that plays before you start a stage or after you die has a way to get stuck in your head even after you stop playing. Addictiveness 5: The games addictiveness is in the middle. What that means is depending on play style the game could be worth playing over and over again. Or you could play it once and never bother playing it again. Story 0: There is no story. Literally none. Its Pac-Man all you do is eat pellets and fruit and avoid ghosts. That is it. Depth 1: The game hardly has any depth to it at all. The game boasts of 255 different mazes. All that really means is you'll see the same maze over and over again with the only difference being the ghost get fast each time. If you do manage to get to the 255th maze you will get to the now infamous ''kill screen''. That means you cannot complete the game at all. Difficulty 9: The game may start out easy but it gets frantic pretty quickly. By the time you reach stage 10 is when it starts showing how frantic and challenging the game gets. Overall 4.1: Over all the game is fun. But like I said in my review for Donkey Kong its not a game you'll spend a lot of time on. In fact just like Donkey Kong, its a game you will play just to kill some time. Prior to my review I got through the first 10 stages before i had to quit due to complete boredom. Final Thoughts. Do i recommend this game? That is a bit tough to answer. While on one hand I do if you have never played it before and want to see how Pac-Man got his start. On the other hand I am going to have to say no due to the fact that you will get bored seeing the same maze layout over and over again.

Pac-man... a classic thing1
Alright, this time I am reviewing a game that nobody can argue that is a classic: the infamous Pac-man. Let's get down to business.
I'm going to start with overall this time, try something new. So here we go...
i am going to give this game a nine point eight (9.8) for overall, the reason being that is a classic, and the game is addicting as it could possible be. A great 2D based game, and a classic.
For Difficulty i am going to give it an eight (8).
Those colored ghosts are annoying as crap, and always find a way to trap me when I get near 200,000 points. They are very annoying. It get frustrating at times, but it makes the game a lot more fun, which is a must. A game is nothing if it is not fun. Then you actually have the "map" changing up every now and then, which keeps the game interesting. The game is difficult because it is hard to get to the goal of points that you want to get to. And that adds to the difficulty.
The depth of the game gets a five (5).
There is not much to it past eating dots and staying away from ghosts. And the story is not much either.
The Story gets a mere five (5).
The only story I ever saw in this game is Pac-Man and Mrs. Pac-Man meet each other, get married, and have kids. That is all I have even seen for a story line in this game.
The Addictiveness of this game gets a huge nine (9).
The game is simple, yet so very addictive. The goal is to get the most points as you possibly can, and each time you play it, you want more points. The game is so simple, it is addictive.
I am going to give this game a five (5) for sound.
The sound is repetitive: doop doop doop doop. That is it. The reason it gets a five is because I actually like it.
And last but not least, this game gets a five (5) in graphics.
The graphics are pretty bad, even for a 2D based simple game. The reason it gets a five is because the game is so addicting.
If anybody has any questions about anything dealing with my review, please; post here. I crave your criticism on how I can improve my reviews.

Pacman's Review On Pac Man?! O_o pacman1755
Well, this probably wont be a long review on this game, because there isnt much to say about it, its Pac Man, one of the most legendary arcade games of all time on the NES. The difficulty gets harder as you progress the levels, there is no ending as far as I know...just play for the high score. No story, and no music, just pacman and the ghosts moving...not much on that. Graphics are average for the 8 bit era and overall the game is SUPER Addicting, cant stop playing untill I get a bigger high score :P My opinion is this, go ahead and play the game, it is fun and you will be consumed by the adictiveness. Have fun! :P

Pac Man the Classic Video Game wicked-pyper-le..
This classic game is one of my favorites that I have been playing since I was a child, it is very addictive and I think that anyone would love it. If you think chasing around ghosts and eating them is fun then this game is most definitely for you, it doesn't really have a story line to it but with this sort of game there is no need for one. The sounds is basic and original which is the way it is suppose to be, I believe that if they tried to renew with game that it would most likely make the game bad lol. The difficulty for this game is a major thing, it is hard to get all the fruit while avoiding ghosts and then going and getting all the little dots that are needed to get to the next level. The graphics are nice considering this game is old but I did notice that they made some small changes to the color which I find wonderful. Not all old games are good with color black and white doesn't really suit this game very well so I am happy to say that color is an improvement. So my overall review for this game is that it is amazing and should be played by others but only if you wish to have some fun with eating without getting fat lol.

Pac-Man Review Marcmoney
Overall - 8
Pac-Man is a classic game to play. All the levels are the same, but it does get harder. I used to play this game when I was a child. :P Pac-Man gets its famous from that late 80s when it used to be in stores or in arcade stores.
Graphics - 9
It has very good graphics. Pretty much the same thing in every level, but still is good.
Sound - 7
The sound is pretty much the same thing. It does get annoying some of the time.
Addictiveness - 5
Pac-Man does not get addicting. In fact, you would probably stop playing the game once you get a game over because you would not want to start all over again.
Story - N/A
There is no story to this game. It's basically an endless game till someone gets a game over.
Depth - 8
I'm pretty sure that this game is very long. Haven't gotten very far, but yeah, It's what I think.
Difficulty - 7
It is kind of hard for me to play Pac-Man. I did okay in the competition, if you want to check that out.
Wrap Things Up...
Pac-Man is an okay game to play once in a lifetime. I recommend trying this gamer out if you have never played this game before. :)

Pac-man filmmaker7
Pac-Man is a legendary game liked by a lot of fans, despite being a very simple game. The plot revolves around Pac-Man attempting to eat all the Pac-dots before the ghosts catch him. There are four different ghosts:Blinky, who is not that fast;Pinky, who is very fast;Inky, who is very shy,and is most likely not to go after Pac-man immediately;and Clyde, who can be easily tricked.there are energizer dots, that will render to ghosts edible.but as the levels progress, they will remain edible for shorter and shorter time. There are certain types of fruit Pac-Man can eat,Like Apples,Cherries, and oranges.Eating one will give you 100 points, which is pretty cool.As the levels progress,as with most games, difficulty increases.Ghosts chase Pac-Man faster,Pac-Man eats faster, and a few other things as well. So,in Conclusion, this is an awesome game, that is well deserving of a high rating.

Warmup review #2: Pac-Man (NES) Stevie 764
Oh boy, 2 reviews in 2 days, this is what you call motivation of reviewing. :D
Pac-Man, the most classic game in the early 80's, spawning seemingly infinite number of games of Pac-Man so far. Pac-Man is already about 32 years old, but let's go back to the late 80's for the NES port of Pac-Man.
Game instructions in MY words: You are Pac-Man, a circle with a mouth which is the cut part of the yellow. He's yellow, and he'll gobble up those pellets and eat the 4 ghosts that chase him in a maze. Like any game, you get 3 lives although the game displays it as 2. The formula is this according to looking about the game:
Mini dot = 10 points
Power dot = 50 points
1 ghost eaten = 200 points
2 ghosts eaten = 400 points
3 ghosts eaten = 800 points
All 4 ghosts eaten = 1600 points
Sorry for spliting the instructions. Anyways, depending on how many levels you beat in one game depends on what fruit appears about every 75 (?) dots eaten in a level. (? equals "Guessed amount.) 75 isn't the exact number, might want to research about that more. ;) When you get 10k points, you get a extra life on the NES, but only 10k. The arcade ports on the wii, xbox 360, and PS3 have settings that you can change to your fitting.
Onto the review.
Standard graphics?
Yes, the simple graphics of the NES' capabilities. Look back on Atari 2600's graphics for it's games, really good. NES graphics are simple, like atari 2600, but a little more advanced. Not much to say, regular NES graphics. But HOLD IT! Pinky in the game is BARELY even pink! -2 for that. So the only problem was Pinky's color fail. XD
Graphic rating: 8/10
Regular sounds?
Yep, but these sounds are 100% unique, and created by the famous company Namco which created Pac-Man. Made no sense there, but it is NES quality in which technology in mid 80's was extremly beyond limited in sounds.
Sound rating: 7/10
How fun is this game?
Pretty fun... IF you never played Pac-Man before or if you like games that old. If you like Pac-Man, you could try this out.
Addict rating: 6/10
Uh, is there a story this time?
No, it doesn't tell you the story, but it does show you the ghosts and a demo of the game if you wait a moment, telling you the ghost names. As said above, the 4 ghosts are Blinky, the red ghost, Pinky, the (barely pink in this game) pink ghost, Inky, the light blue ghost, and Clyde, the stupid orange ghost. They have their personalities, like Blinky being fast, Pinky being smart, Inky going around the maze, and Clyde being what you call "derpy" around the maze. Literally.
No story rating.
How much is there in the game?
Well, there's only one maze that repeats every level, for a unknown number. The number may be 255 levels before it glitches or crashes because there was a glitch in the aracde only version of Pac-Man where level 256 glitches the right half of the screen. No one can complete it, but according to wikipedia, (NO JOKE!) someone score around 6,100,000 points. The highest possible was 3,333,360 set back in 1999, but anything beyond that can't be done without a cheat or some sort of impossible-to-do luck.
Depth rating: 5/10
How difficult is this game?
Well, after a couple levels, it becomes hard, but you only have to do the same strategy, same dot placement stuff, and that's it. The ghosts get slightly faster and become more smarter, until the 3rd key level where they are insane, even Clyde gets smart. o_O But no kidding, I can almost get to level 5 on NES Pac-Man. In the aracde port on the wii, I could get level 7. That's as far as I can go.
Difficulty rating: 7/10
Overall?
I think this is a fun game, unlike warmup review #1 that I did 2 days ago. Nethertheless, it is a very gun and I recommend Pac-Man to ANYONE, even fans like vizzed user pacman1755. :) Also, recommend it to people who never heard or played Pac-Man. Try the newer games, too. ;)
Overall rating: 8.2
Problems that made overall rating lose tenths:
Ghost color fail
Repetivity level: Very High
Same maze
Same color (maze)
Same strat
Power pills not working on level 16, 18+
Warmup review #2, by me. I am not spamming that I want to be staff now, I thought about making some reviews while I wait for acceptance. ;) Should I do reviews at almost the same speed as 2 days, or should I try reviewing once per week like staff game reviewers?

One of the best arcade games out there Mega Lucario
We all should know about the legendary Pac-man! He was a smashing hit in arcades and when it is ported to a console? Well lets see if it is good!
GRAPHICS: 3
Most people give this higher because the forgive the fact that people back then couldn't make good graphics. Sorry guys but i'm facing the facts. The graphics are simple and there isn't a ton of sprites in the game.
SOUND: 4
Still pretty low but we all remember Pac-man's eating sound and his death sound. Not much to say here the sound effects are classic and ver memorable.
Addictiveness: 9
Anyone can agree this game is super addicting. The tension, the fun, the high scores mix together to make Pac-man a very addicting game.
Story: 1
There is no story because it is and arcade game of course!
Depth: 6
This game has 50-60 levels of the same thing except the later levels get tough. The ending of this game is funny because...THERE IS NO ENDING! The creators didn't put an ending into this game. The very last level is glitched making it impossible to beat. If you make it that far your friend will feel like they are hanging out with someone famous!
