My Review On: Megaman (or Mega Man) V (GB)   accpikachu2
This is my very first review on a game, and I'm always going to beat the game and then review it.  Since I just beat the game, minus well review the game since my memory is fresh.  Oh yeah, this is the ONLY Megaman Gameboy game to have it's own set of robot masters (or in this case, Stardroids).  Let's get this review going!
Graphics:  In all honesty, the Game Boy never had good graphics, this is particularly because it had no color (do the math: Video Game + No Color = bad graphics)!  However, most of the designs are actually pretty complex; if you added color to it, it minus well mock today's graphics.  Because of that reason, I'm giving the graphics an eight (8).
Sound:  Megaman games are infamous for their amazing soundtrack, but this one doesn't actually follow that rule.  I did like some of the music tracks for this game like the title theme, ending theme, final boss theme, and regular boss themes.  But some of them make you want to put on some earmuffs or are very irritating.  In other words, there are some awesome ones, but there are a few horrible ones that I can't stand that much; I'm giving the soundtrack an eight (8).
Addictiveness:  I think Megaman games were programmed for addictiveness!  Because nearly all the games have less than 20 stages, it's very tempting to turn on your console and beat the game again and again and again and again!  I'm already making plans to replay the game in a week or two!  And even though I don't know how to get them, I found out on a site that there are crystals to collect in 4-8 stages (pity on me).  I can guarantee you that you WILL come back to this game at least every one or two years.  I'm giving Addictiveness a ten (10).
Story:  The story is only different than other Megaman games: Rock (Megaman) and Roll are taking a walk around and they encounter a robot named Terra (Pop Quiz!  Did you know that Terra is Latin for Earth).  As Roll runs away, Rock transforms into Megaman!  However, Megaman's shots don't seem to do anything on Terra (not even a fully charged buster shot) and is taken out by a single shot and is unconscious for who knows how long (it was long enough for four (4) alien robots to put the world at it's knees).  Later, Megaman wakes up in Dr. Light's lab, and Dr. Light explains that alien robots (claiming to be the Stardroids) have the world at it's knees (doesn't that sound familiar).  However, Dr. Light was able to identify the Stardroids (it's beyond me how he did that) and create a weapon that could defeat the Stardroids: the Mega Arm.  It allows Megaman to fire his entire fist at enemy robots.  It came for a price though: Light had to take out the Mega Buster out of Megaman and as long as Megaman's fist isn't part of Megaman's body, he isn't able to fire any other shots.  It's at that part that Megaman begins his quest to defeat the Stardroids!  Dr. Light also gives Megaman a pet cat: Tango.  (Something happens after you defeat them, but it's only Megaman Gameboy tradition.  Long story short, Megaman has to fight 4 more Stardroids).  Wow!  That was just the intro (guess I didn't realize it was that complex)!  I give story a ten (10)!
Depth:  Let's see here: fight 4 Stardroids, fight a boss, fight 4 more Stardroids, fight Terra, find crystals if you want for no reason, buy Mega Arm upgrades, buy an energy balancer, and nothing to do after you beat the game other than restart it.  Wow!  That was short.  I'm giving depth a 5.
Difficulty:  Like most Megaman games, it's just memorizing.  You have to memorize dangerous parts, where to jump, where's the mini boss(es), what's the boss going to do, etc.  But on your first time playing a Megaman game, you will have pain!  After you've played any Megaman game, it's fairly easy.  I'm going to give Difficulty a seven (7).
Overall:  I'm giving this game a 9.3:  An almost perfect game!  If the game was on the Gameboy color, or it had more depth, that this game would have easily ranked high.

Mega Man V review   tornadocam
My review of Mega Man V one of my favorites
Story: 9
After Mega Man IV for Game Boy being a big hit they needed another hit. So Mega Man V came out with an awesome story line and plot. Here is the story from the intro of the game and manual. Mega Man has successfully defeated Dr. Wily and peace has been restored. Dr. Wily has faded from the minds of citizens. Mega Man and his sister Roll are taking a stroll when suddenly Terra appears. Terra introduces himself as leader of the stardroids. Mega Man is gasp defeated and Terra and his army of stardroids launch an attack on earth. The Stardroids are made up of alien material so weapons do not hurt them.  Why have the stardroids come here? Dr. Light gives Mega Man a new weapon to fight these invaders. Mega Man discovers he can launch a fist full of powerful energy. First of all, I love this plot, we have new robot masters and Capcom finally got away from hinting that Wily is behind this. The story makes the player think that the Stardroids are a new force wanting to take over the world. This was something new because all previous Mega Man games have used a fake bad guy or its been Dr. Wily. This was something different and is what the series needed.

Graphics: 9
Mega Man V had better graphics. In fact if this game is plugged into the Super Game Boy the game is then in color. I think that was remarkable that Capcom would make a game for Game Boy that could have color in it. If players do not have the Super Game Boy the graphics are great for this game considering it is a Game Boy game. Mega Man does not appear to be sluggish and the controls are nice. The springs are nicely done in this game. The only thing that keeps this from being a 10 is there is a part in the game were lagging occurs. However the lagging part is short lived. I was very pleased with the graphics of this game.

Sound and Music: 10
The sound of this game is great. Mega Man V is up there with Mega Man IV sound and music. The Star droids themes are very nicely composed. Pluto, Terra, Uranus, Jupiter, Neptune  and the space theme are very memorable  and flow nicely. The music does not tingle or feel scratchy at all. The sound of Mega Man charging is really nicely done, and him launching his fist that is a plus. When Mega Man launches his fist it sounds like it is really going to knock out enemies. The enemies sounds are nicely done too making the player think their attacks are going to do a lot of damage.

Addictiveness and Depth: 10
This game rocked in so many ways. It is very addictive and I often replay this game. I just like how the story was done, the graphics and the awesome music. Mega Man V is a lot like Mega Man IV both have a lot of depth to them. They are several items to collect and in the second half of the game more items to collect. This game also has a lot of surprises in it so be prepared it will take a while to beat this game. I also think of the cool new bosses and how long the game is adds replay value. There is only one other Mega Man game I play more than this one is Mega Man 7. I also think it is nice how you can plug the game into a Super Game Boy and get the game in color.

Difficulty: 8
If there is anything wrong with Mega Man V at all it is the difficulty has been toned down just a little. Mega Man IV was known to be difficult. Mega Man V did not get difficult for me into the second half of the game. The first half of the game had its tricky spots but nothing to bad. The second half is what makes me rate the difficulty as an 8. In the second half the enemies get tougher, the stardroids get a lot tougher and there are more traps galore. Sometimes in the second half enemies just like to gang up on you and knock you into the pit. One stage even tries to push you into death spikes. The very end of the game is very difficult. One of the hardest robot masters in the entire series is at the end. The final boss of this game earns a 10 just fighting him. But I cannot give the game a 10 just because of the final boss. I had to consider all the other stages. So since the game did not get very difficult into the second half that is why I give it an 8. But, this game is not easy just not very difficult as Mega Man IV.

Overall: 10
Mega Man V really rocked as in quality and greatness for a Game Boy game. It is my second favorite Mega Man game only behind Mega Man 7. I often play this one the most only behind Mega Man 7. This game had good graphics, great music and was challenging in  a fun way. After the fake bad guys being used and Dr. Wily being involved. Mega Man needed something different. Capcom pulled off a masterpiece here by having new Robot Masters called the Stardroids challenge Mega Man. Not to mention in the intro stage we get to see Mega Man get defeated for one. Like when has that ever happened? We also have a great game with graphics that can be colorized, awesome music. I highly recommend this game. I got this game a few years back and have not put it down since. If you want to play the Game Boy Mega Man Series I recommend playing III, IV, and V. This is the last and greatest 8 bit Mega Man game.

Mega Man V,The best in the WHOLE CLASSIC Series.and the 2nd in the franchise   Magma_Cube
Mega Man V On the game boy is the best game On the GB Series and the classic series.striking 2nd in the franchise. Not to be mean but i actually think that The nes were somehow earning like 6/10 mostly despite 3,4.The GB IS BETTER THAN NES.And this game proves
why.Firstly the game is pretty great worthy to GB Console. And all the GB Games were better than The best than the nes.the only victory the nes games have once won the GB in 3.i mean 3 is better than The first 3 GB Games. While the first 3 GB games Great. And perfect but they
were defeated by nes.To continue. This Game's Best Aspect is The sounds.even i dont care about the graphics.
Graphics : In the Game they got a little colours.and some stuff like that.the PC Version can sound better. But the GB Graphics can be
chosen? Then the game wont be cheap if they do.I mean it's pretty perfect.
Sound : The sounds are great.they are the best aspect of the game.Nothing to comment
Addictiveness : This game can be played more than once,it's pretty gret
Story : The story is great.tbut normal.honestly,it's just good.i will say the start.mega man was walking then he met a stardroid robot named terra.after then he shoots everything but doesn't work.he goes to his base.he gets a new weapon named the super arm.4/9 of the
stardroids
invaded
Depth : The game ain't really long,to be honest
Difficulty : The game isn't very diffiult.actually
