A Worthy Game   zanderlex

Up until about a year ago, Grand Theft Auto was one of the biggest game series in video game history and was one that could have been beat by no more than a handful of franchises. The game was developed by Rockstar Games, who is an iconic game developing company thanks to the success of GTA and other bestselling hits such ad Red Dead Redemption and Bully.

So when a company such as Rockstar wants to make a new installment to one of its games, 5 years after the last one, you know for a fact that they are not just going to add a few small features that most often don't even require a sequel, like some war games and most sports games. You know that Rockstar is going to give it their all in making sure the game becomes extremely popular and that it's going to do no less than blow your mind.

Wouldn't you know it, that's exactly what Rockstar went and did. Rockstar put together a team of the very best programmers and developers, and they let their imaginations run wild. They took one of the best PS3 games to ever sell and they completely rebuilt the game from the ground up with features that some gamers would never think were possible. Now, 5 years after the release of Grand Theft Auto IV and its two companion games, Rockstar released Grand Theft Auto V, an elite game that would go on to change the gaming industry and to pave the way for the next generation of gaming.

When you turn on Grand Theft Auto V for the very first time, you're not going to notice the story here, no that's not important. You may catch a glimpse of the new soundtrack as the game loads, but you will right away dismiss it and not give it any thought. You might not even care for the rocket launchers, sticky bombs, and cars at this point, because frankly, they don't matter much this early into the game.

What does matter more than all those great aspects of the game is the thing that you see at the very beginning of the game when you first turn it on. What am I talking about that could be more important than guns and cars at the start of the game? I am talking about none other than the legendary graphics of the game. Obviously, the graphics would be the first thing that you see when you turn the game on, and in my opinion, the graphics are the aspect of the game that has had the most improvement since Grand Theft Auto IV.

GRAPHICS 10/10

The graphics for Grand Theft Auto V are purely remarkable and are just one of a kind. Again, in my opinion, I would be inclined to agree that the graphics for this game are the greatest and most realistic graphics of any game to make its debut so far and that it would be challenging for any game in the very near future to surpass it. The people who worked on the graphics and aspects such as designing the map have done a great job and its because of their work that the game had became such a huge hit and further promoted the reputation of the franchise and of Rockstar Games as well.

The map looks simply amazing, its full of color and detail, and the texture of all the designs causes it to look so realistic. The cars are so expertly crafted, and so are the characters and buildings to a point where the graphics, buildings, objects, and movements all blend together perfectly and flow together as you journey across the map. This flow makes it feel as if you really are the character that you play as, and not just some random person with a controller sitting in your pajamas. Its also not just the buildings and people that the graphics bring to life, its the animals as well. Take a swim in the ocean as a horrifically realistic shark hunts you down, or do the hunting yourself and bring down a deer.

The point that I am trying to get across is that the graphics are to beautiful to dismiss. Whether you hijacked a jet and are flying above the mountains, speeding down the streets with the cops on your tail, or parachuting from the sky and onto the top of a skyscraper, the graphics are breathtaking. I give the graphics a grade that they deserve and they deserve a perfect score. Even if the graphics were much worse than what they are now, I would still give it a 10. I also believe that there would be no more than a handful of people out there who would give the graphics of Grand Theft Auto a less than perfect grade.

ADDICIVNESS 10/10

People don't want a basic game in which they play the game one time for an hour and then shove it back into its case to rot, people never want that. What people do want is a good game that is addicting and will allow the standard gamer to play hundreds of hours without ever getting bored. Every gaming franchise that has ever been considered to be a blockbuster series such as Pokemon or Call of Duty has proven that their games are addicting. For years, Rockstar Games has been proving that they have an addicting series and ever since Grand Theft Auto V was released, they have proven that they can get even better.

I remember back to when Grand Theft Auto was first released and people were saying that it was a revolutionary game and that it was state of the art. To some, this was true because the game was great and most people, including myself, have logged hundreds of hours of game play because there was simply so much to do and the game was just so addicting. Now lets zoom back to the release of Grand Theft Auto V and its new features. You are now taking a game that was already very addicting and you are adding dozens of new and awesome features. There is no possible was that the addictiveness level can drop, it can only double.

This is simply because there is so much to do in this city. Lets not forget that this is the largest city in Grand Theft Auto history, so of course there will be a ton of stuff to do. For instance, I have a ritual that I perform every time I turn the game on. I break into the airport and hijack a plane, and then I just fly all around the city and do all sorts of awesome tricks. Every once in a while I will try to jump out of the plane and land on a building or I will just jump and let my parachute take me wherever. I do this every single time I turn the game on but it never gets boring because it's just so fun and addicting. I also love heading down to the hunting grounds and testing my skills because I feel this is one of the most fun and innovative new features of the game. Let's not forget the most addicting aspects of the game, driving around and shooting people.

But wait, there's more! Much more to be exact. I stated that the new hunting capabilities was my favorite new feature to the game, however that was just my own opinion and there is one more feature that even tops that one when it comes global popularity. This great new feature is the ability to play online with other people. Grand Theft Auto IV also had online, but to many people, the quality of the online capabilities was just dreadful. This time around, Rockstar took a different approach towards online game play and had spent years making sure that it was perfect. The end result was an online gaming system that was unlike any other and sad far more advanced than the game before it. In the new online system, people can do pretty much the same stuff they would do in offline mode, but they can do it with other people. You can go ahead and kill a real live person, you can put a bounty on another player, you can even work together with these other gamers or your friends to complete missions.

The point here that I am trying to get across is that there is so much to do that it should be physically impossible for you to get bored while playing this game. The game is just too addicting to give up and return after just a couple of plays or even after 50 to 60 hours. This is the kind of Game that will keep you occupied for hundreds of hours in offline mode and many more hours in online mode. Overall, I have no choice but to give the Addictiveness aspect a perfect score and I am almost positive that there are many other gamers out there who will do the same.

SOUND 10/10

Now we move onto the sound of the game which is also remarkable. The entire soundtrack for Grand Theft Auto V has to be one of the largest soundtracks in history for as single game because there are just so many tracks. When you talk about this game, you’re not just talking about the games soundtrack that is composed by a Hollywood composer like most games. No, in Grand Theft Auto V, you do have that, but then you also have the radio that fans of the franchise have been accustomed to.

First, there is the basic soundtrack that consists of more than 50 songs which were used specifically for certain in game events and then you have the Radio stations which play more than 230 different songs, most of which by well known artists such as Britney Spears and Rihanna.

The fact that the music blends in so nicely with what’s going on in the game, combined with the fact that there are so many songs, leads me to give the song portion of the game another perfect score.

STORY 9/10

As for the story, you really can’t have anything bigger. This is because Rockstar no lets you play the game as different games, instead of just one character like all of the previous games. You can play as Michael, a former bank robber who was living under witness protection, and can slow down time when fighting, Franklin, a repo man who can slow down time while driving, or Trevor, a weapon smuggler, who can deal extra damage as well as receive lass damage. Once accustomed to the characters, the player then goes on an outrageous series of missions to find what each of these characters ultimately want. It’s basically the same as the previous games, but having three playable characters instead of just one makes all the difference. Overall, the story gets a near perfect score of 9 out of 10, and if I could, I would give it a grade of 9.3 or 9.5.

DEPTH 10/10

The depth of the game is amazing, in addition to all the things you can do that we had mentioned earlier, there are a grand total of more than 60 featured missions that you can perform, as well as a whole bunch of missions that are available in online mode, and more than a hundred different vehicles. As for the depth of the game, this deserves another perfect score.
DIFFICULTY 5

Lastly, we are going to talk about the difficulty. Grand Theft Auto is not meant to be difficult, it’s meant to be a game that people want to play and that can immerse players for hours. If the game had turned out to be too challenging, many players would have given up with the franchise a long time ago. Sure, there will be a few times when a mission may be a bit complicated, but other than those times, the game is not much of a challenge and can be played with no problems. For Difficulty, I give this game a 5.

OVERALL   9.8

For an overall grade, I give this game a 9.8 because it’s the greatest of the Grand Theft Auto games, and it is one of the greatest games that I have ever played. If you have not yet played this game for either the PS3 of the 360, you are missing out on a lot and I highly advise that you get the game sooner or later.

A Truly Grand Theft Indeed   legacyme3
Grand Theft Auto V stands as Rockstar's newest installment in the ever popular Grand Theft Auto series, that now has 5 numbered installments, along with several side games, like Liberty City Stories and Chinatown Wars. The premise hasn't changed. Open world sandbox shoot em up, with plenty of thieving, killing, and general awesomeness. Grand Theft Auto IV in my opinion was actually a step back in the series, though nothing has been able to live up to lofty expectations given San Andreas is one of the better games ever made.
But how does GTA V stack up against the two?
Graphics - 9
GTA V takes the PS3/360 to their very limits, being rather beautiful for a late gen game, without sacrificing the customization of cars and clothes. The character design is brilliant, the backdrops are beautiful, and the water just keeps looking better with every game. The one fault I have with the graphics in this game is that pop in can be pretty bad after extended play times, and that the draw distance is a little off, most days seem incredibly foggy, for an area supposedly modeled after southern California. Aside from this though, it's hard to fault the artists in charge of crafting Los Santos and Blaine County, as it is the most varied looking game in the series, and is truly worth praising.
Sound - 10
I had real problems finding a fault with the sound. I rarely give out 10s, and when I was on the precipice of doing so, I found myself nitpicking, trying to find any reason NOT to give it a 10. The selection is brilliant. As long as you don't keep changing the radio station to a specific genre, you'll find a soundtrack with an incredibly wide variety. I usually stick to the games Rock stations, but this time, I found myself listening to all the stations (though still the Rock one the most), which is something I've never done in a GTA game. Aside from that, everything sounds as it should. Grunts, car collisions, trains and all. The ambiance you hear out in the wild is fantastic too. More often than once, I heard a cricket, and turned to my right (I live in a wooded area, so crickets can be common) before I forgot that it was cold out, and the cricket sounds were coming from the TV. High marks.
Addictiveness - 10
Again, I found myself nitpicking finding a reason to not give a 10, but ultimately, I have none. I have put 90 hours into the game (when most games clock less than 30), I have beaten it 100% (despite some mediocre side missions I'll go into later), and I find myself wanting more. Luckily GTA Online is packaged with the game, so I'll probably put another 90+ hours into that. This is by far the most fun game I've played this year, and the most fun Grand Theft Auto game I may have ever played (Yeah, I'm not sure which of SA and V I prefer right now). The three character dynamic is absolutely incredible and adds so much more to the game. I came in expecting everything to be awkward and clumsy like GTA IV, but was completely and utterly blown away.
Depth - 8
There's a lot to do in GTA V. But not all of it is fun (hence the 8, and not the 10s that seem to be falling from the sky). I said I played about 90 hours. The story is maybe... 20-30 hours long? I didn't really clock it. That gives you 60-70 hours of other content should you find yourself wanting more (the story counts for about 50% of 100% completion). Here is a list of things you can do that aren't related to the story. Tennis, Golf, Darts, Base Jumping, Hiking in the mountains, Yoga, street/atv/boat races, flight school, firing range challenges, finding nuclear waste, and finding stunt jumps. There is also more that I'm not mentioning here. The point is that it is a very deep game, and most of it is fun.
There are only a few exceptions to this, one being the Epsilon Program side missions. It's long, it's arduous, and if you do something wrong, you won't even get anything out of it but a rusty tractor and a trophy. It is by far the most pointless quest I have ever completed in a GTA game, and if I had to do it again, I wouldn't. You have to go finding cars throughout Los Santos that can be difficult to find, deliver them, run 5 miles in the desert consecutively (this is a challenge that will take you a while, I advise boosting your stamina to the max before doing this, just so it goes a little faster), and wear terrible bright blue robes for 10 days straight.
A second example of this are the knife flight/stunt jump challenges. They are rarely fun to attempt, hard to find, and frustrating to complete. And you need half of both for 100% completion. (Rockstar did something right in this respect, finding all the stunt jumps in previous games has been an exercise in tedium). This aside though, it's all extra content, and you are free to do it or avoid it at your discretion. It's a game that is easily 100%'d, but not a game that can be fun to do so (about 90% of the 100% is worth doing.)
Story - 9
The part we've all been waiting for, the thing that Rockstar sold this game on. The story, featuring gangbanger Franklin, retired con man and thief Michael, and a psychotic lunatic in Trevor. Which do you control? For the most part, this is up to you. You control all of them. Or you can. Basically, you choose one character to use with the character wheel (except in certain cases where other characters are unavailable for whatever reason) and the other two go about their daily lives as you control your chosen character. At any time generally, you can switch from Franklin to Michael, and find him in bed with his wife, or to Trevor, and find him driving scooters half naked down the highway, or back to Franklin, who may have taken to backing up his buddy Lamar, and preventing him from getting himself killed. The point is, it's mostly seamless and believable, making you feel like the characters are human.
The story revolves around each of the three trying to get what they are looking for, for example, Franklin wants to hit it big and get out of the hood, whereas Michael just wants to stay retired, and try to keep his falling apart family together. The three come together in time, and through story line missions. Eventually, you get to have all three work together on jobs, where the game really opens up. You can switch seamlessly in mission between the three, as they try to accomplish a job for whoever their boss is. Like during a robbery, Franklin may be tasked with defending the street, trying to stall for time, while Michael covers the alley, and Trevor tries to snipe people away from his higher vantage point. Ultimately, who you control determines your own experience.
It is by far, the best story of any GTA game yet, blowing IV's story of chasing the American Dream out of the water.
Difficulty - 5
I don't think the game is hard, but there are a few frustrating moments that must be talked about. For one, it's awfully easy to die while driving a car, even though they've made car handling more lifelike than before. If you are like me, you like driving in fast sports cars at speeds of 120 mph. If you so much as clip a car, or a telephone pole, your character will rocket out of the car through the windshield, and likely die. Most of my deaths in the game are a result of this and driving a motorcycle and having him fly off the bike, even at minimal speeds of 10 mph, over of all things, a downed street sign. It would be nice to see this improved, but otherwise, I can't complain.
The actual game itself is rather easy, and you should find yourself restarting... maybe once every 14 missions or so just because you got a little unlucky. Any gamer can beat this game with effort though.
This is in large part to their improved checkpointing system. Now if you die in a mission you will return to your last checkpoint. Some larger missions in GTA IV were frustrating, because if you died, you'd have to do everything over INCLUDING the boring driving to and from. In GTA V, that's completely compounded, and now if you die, generally you return to a minute or two before and get a chance to fix what you f***ed up.

GRADING
Graphics - 10% (10% of 9 is .9)
Sound - 10% (10% of 10 is 1)
Addictiveness - 35% (35% of 10 is 3.5)

Story - 25% (25% of 9 is 2.25)
Difficulty - 0% (0% of 5 is 0)
Total - 9.25
I'm also going to give bonus points for the offline portion of the game being remarkably glitch free. Any glitches that DID exist were mostly wiped out with a handful of patches released within a month of the game's release. So in total, the game gets a 9.5, as expected, a great game.
Overall - 9.5
There you have it. GTA V may well be the best GTA game ever. I still am not sure whether or not I rank this above San Andreas, but ultimately that's neither here nor there. On its own merits, GTA V is easily the best game released this year, and if I had a vote, it would be mine for Game of the Year. It is very rare that I take a hyped up game, buy into it, and end up coming out of it happier than expected. With far too many "next GotY" games, I've come away bitter and disappointed (See: The Last of Us").
But there's no disappointment here, only a very happy game owner, who is glad he actually spent 60 dollars on a game for once. If you have the means to purchase it, do so, you will not regret your purchase.

Review of GTA V   IgorBird122

Here is a review by The IB, This game is on Grand Theft Auto V. Grand Theft Auto V was released on September 17th, 2013 on the PlayStation 3 (and Xbox 360) and later released on the PS4, XBone, and PC. For the first time ever since GTA 2, you control more than 1 protagonist who happens to be Michael De Santa (A former Bank robber who has retired the game and wants to raise a family), Franklin Clinton (A former repo man who wants to make a living), and Trevor Philips (well, he is pretty self-explanatory, he’s crazy, that is all). This game has introduced a ton of new and interesting features that has returned from a past GTA game and is very new to the series. You follow these 2 character’s storyline as individual storylines where all 3 storyline merges into one giant storyline filled with heists, multi-person missions, and a bunch of other things for the player to like about this game. I feel like this is the best game that Rockstar has put out there in public since GTA San Andreas which could end up rival that other game Rockstar has made. Anyways, let’s move onto this review.

Graphics..

For the graphics of this game, it was a really huge upgrade than we have seen with GTA IV, after GTA IV seem like it was all bleached and dimmed out, I think after experiencing with the RAGE game engine for 5 1/2 years since GTA IV was released back in 2008, this gives Rockstar plenty of time to make up for all the faulty graphics that the last games has had, although it wasn’t too bad though. If you move onto 2013, This is truly a HD video game where all the graphics looks a whole lot more “life-like” and a lot of people, especially modern gamers, they much prefer modern games to be all in an unique HD format and GTA V offers a true HD format which gamers likes so much, I feel that Rockstar has added a whole lot more detailed graphics for the setting of Los Santos and Blaine County, like more realistic skies, weather, vegetation, buildings, vehicles, and a bunch of other things I haven’t mentioned, it looks a lot more better than any other game in the entire GTA series, as for the character designs, they are slightly updated from GTA IV, but not by a whole lot, this little minor thing could be fixed up, but they have in the PS4 / XBone / PC re-release, so that problem is fixed there. So all and all, I like the newly updated graphics of GTA V.

For the graphics, I will give this game a perfect 10 out of 10, the reason why is on how much Rockstar has put some effort into their graphic card in this game, it is like the best game I have experienced with on a 7th generation console, and that is saying a whole lot, kudos to Rockstar making the graphics very awesome, that’s why I gave this a “10”.

---------------

Sound/Music..

As for the sound effects, this also has had a huge improvement from the last GTA games, I think the more updated and clearer effects makes things sound, well, more like in real life. I especially like when you go to the country-side, you can hear a lot of nature when you’re outside exploring the wilderness (as long you don’t get attacked by a mountain cat though because that can suck), since this is the first time a GTA game has introduced animals (yes, PETA has caused a stir in this game because of killing animals mumbo jumbo), it has made the most accurate animal sounds like you would expect, and it’s not just those voices, I also feel that the voices sound almost the same quality like we expected in GTA IV, so I won’t say much with that though.

For the music, it doesn’t have as many radio stations as we have seen in GTA IV, but all those radio stations were all urban station, but this game also has a country-side so you expect have a country and classic rock station and that is what we have seen, like each and every station all has a different genre for the person to like such as Country, Classic Rock (both I mentioned), Modern Rock, Punk, Hip-Hop, Reggae, World, Indie, Electric, and Talk. So, this game has a wide selection of radio stations for the gamer to enjoy, which does make for a great game.

For the sound effects and the music, I will give this game a perfect 10 out of 10, the sounds has what you would expect in real life mostly, that’s all I have to say about the effects. As for the music, it has a wide selection with a bunch of different genres for the gamer to listen to because everyone has different interest into music, this game gets a “10” for it.

---------------

Addiction Level..

For the addiction Level, this game has a huge addiction level, especially with anticipation of this game’s release prior to September 17th, 2013, a lot of fans was expecting a really gigantic game, and after so many pre-orders on this game and people has been able to play this game on the released sate, a ton of gamers haven’t stopped playing this game at all, and it being nearly 1 1/2 years since this game has been released (plus the PS4 / XBone versions just released and the PC version coming later on this year) and a whole lot of gamers have been highly addictive to this game, not just in single player, but we got a ton of players experiencing with online multiplayer where it has a huge unique twist in the entire game where you can do pretty much anything you feel like because you don’t have to unlock hardly anything, and with this, it gives the person a great opportunity to do on what they want to do. Even if you aren’t playing online, there is still a ton of fun and interesting material that will cause the gamer to be addicted to this game, even some gamers that was more addicted to San Andreas more than IV, they all skipped IV and went straight into V because it being in “San Andreas” and it looks like those players will be stuck more into this game, but they are die-hard GTA San Andreas games that won’t leave that game for IV and V which is understandable, that game is highly addicting like I mentioned in a previous review I did on that game and that game happens to be my favorite in the series and this game here (GTA V) has become my 2nd most favorite game in the entire series and the game only being 1 1/2 years old, that tells you something.

For the Addiction Level, I have to give this game a perfect 10 out of 10, I see that on how much a player can do in this game either in single player or in multiplayer, these gamers will be playing this nonstop, and with the giant map to explore and the amount of content in the game, leaving this game seems impossible, this game gets a “10” for a reason.

---------------

The Storyline..

The storyline happens all the way back 9 years before the game take place in 2004, you start out in a mission (like in other GTA games, but this is the most intense out of all of them), you end up robbing a bank in a city called North Yankton and you have to fend off the cops in the city and try to escape, you have attempted to until you got wrecked by a train and they your getaway has cut short and you have to go on a shootout with the cops, but you escape in failure, and (according to what Trevor was told) Michael was the one that died and Brad survived but was sent to prison. Fast forward 9 years later in 2013, Michael has talk to his therapist about on how his life has been going on for the past 9 years with his family and how his life has been going as of late, but then after your session with his therapist, you walk outside and sit down and this is where the 2nd protagonist named Franklin walks by to repo some cars for a car dealership he works at, and you take those cars and race his friend names Lamer, and after that task, you do a few tasks with your boss named Simeon Yetarian, until Lamar formed a bit of jealousy against Franklin and stole a bike that supposed to be repoed and blamed it on Franklin thus getting Franklin into trouble. Then one task that has you repo Jimmy De Santa (Michael’s son) vehicle and Michael has hiding in the car without you knowing it and Michael has threating Franklin and the car company for credit fraud, so to get his (Michael) revenge, he orders Franklin to smash through the dealership, and in result, Franklin lost his job, but start working for Michael instead. Franklin works along with Michael all the way up to a heist in a jewelry store, and after you rob the jewelry store, you both law low for a little while, and this is where the 3rd protagonist named Trevor comes into the mix being, well, Trevor. After a few missions of Trevor being himself, he realize that Michael who supposed to be dead 9 years ago is still alive, and decided to reunite together once again and start doing heists once again, and having Franklin join in the mix as well. After missions and heists, Trevor still had in his mind that “if Michael is still alive, then who’s in the casket”, so after being on Trevor’s mind, he wanted to check and see and Michael gas tried stopping him from seeing for himself and Trevor went anyways and discover the real truth that it was Brad that died and not Michael after having furious rage, he ends up abandoning Michael in North Yankton (who was in trouble with the Triad gang) who later got kidnapped. After Trevor got back, he pretend that nothing happened in North Yankton, but Franklin said otherwise and question Lester about Michael’s disappearance until Franklin discovered that Michael has been kidnapped by the Triads and Trevor ignored the entire thing, so, after freeing Michael, they both discuss on what they are planning to do with the Trevor issue, that was until one mission where you had to break into a federal building and then Trevor has also re-reunite with Michael yet again, but after doing the final heist of the game, Franklin has a choice Steve Haines and Devin Weston, kill Michael, kill Trevor, or keep them alive and kill everyone that has backstabbed all 3 of them. Depending on what path, you take will have a dramatic affect in the entire game’s ending. This does make for a really good game with the storyline.

For the storyline, I will give this game a perfect 10 out of 10, With a main storyline revolving events that has happened 9 years prior to the main part of the game makes this game a really great game, and unlike past games, the game has 3 smaller stories all merged into one giant storyline, and I think this is the best storyline that Rockstar has come up with so far, that’s why this game has a “10”.

---------------

Depth..

Ok, for the Depth of this game, you combined the activities you do in San Andreas, IV, and newer things added in as well, you got a whole lot of interesting things to explore in, you got a bunch of clothing shops, you can eat some food, buy some cars, buy property, use the internet, and a bunch of other interesting things. With the new things other users can do is play some sports like Golf, tennis, and triathlons, and also can join in with activities such as yoga, parachute jumping (which is a return from San Andreas), hunting, and scuba diving. Also this game has the 2nd most guns ever in a GTA game (only behind GTA Vice City), and you can modify your weapons for the first time for the player to customize the way they want to increase performance of the weapon which can be helpful in some missions where you need this boost to complete the mission. As for the map, oh boy, where do I start with this, it even makes GTA San Andreas seem tiny and that was a big area like I mentioned in one of my past reviews. The GTA V has the biggest game map not just in the GTA game, but any game Rockstar has made up to this date and with the giant map size, it gives the player a chance to look at all the interesting things that makes up the entire state of San Andreas from the city to the countryside with small towns and small cities. So, I think in a way that the improvements with all the activities that gamers can enjoy with have gained the interest into this game.

For the Depth of this game, I wish I could give this an 11, but I can’t, so this game has to settle with a 10, I feel like this game when it comes to the depth, it seems like it’s GTA San Andreas on steroids, I feel like the players has a huge option on doing on what they feel like on doing, and explore a giant map, this is why the depth gets a “10”, so much to do.

---------------

Difficulty / Gameplay..

For the Difficulty, Rockstar has eased up on the difficulty than we had in GTA IV, but not dramatically so that was the mission can be enjoyable for the gamers, especially all the heist missions and for the first time in a GTA game, you also have mini-achievements called “Medals” where you perform a certain task within the mission and you end up getting that metal which depending on how much you do them will get you bronze, silver, or gold for the mission which is a first which give players a lot more effort on getting that 100% completion. Also for the first time in the entire series, you have checkpoints in each mission where if you die, you have the option to start the mission back from that last mission checkpoint or go with the traditional way (spending $5,000 and end up at the hospital) (and you know on what the gamers picked more, it is obvious). So, in a way, it is slightly easier and a tiny bit more difficult, it really depends on the gamer playing this game.

As for the gameplay, I feel this is a really great improvement from GTA IV, after Rockstar has got those complaints about GTA IV’s controls being all sucky, Rockstar has went ahead and fix those controls and gamers are a whole lot more happy that the performance of the game runs a whole lot more realistic in the game than ever before. Like the biggest gripe that other’s had was the vehicle’s performance in GTA IV, but after gamers seen those improvements, they are quite happy on those improvements.

For the Difficulty and the Gameplay, I will give this game an 9 out of 10, it is a lot harder than any of the 3D generation games, but it still isn’t as hard as Grand Theft Auto IV (although a few parts of GTA V still can be really tough and get a few failed missions). Also the gameplay has really seen a lot of unique upgrades with a lot more easier controls where you actually control the vehicle without crashing into everything like the last game. So all and all, I gave this part a “8” because it is difficult, but not as bad as GTA IV.

Overall..

Overall, this is one of the best game that Rockstar has ever pulled together (if not by some people, it’s the 2nd best game Rockstar has come up with), and I think with my point of view after playing through 5 different GTA games, this by far one of the 2 games I think is Rockstar’s best game they released and I think if the game has “San Andreas” in it, you know it will be an extremely popular game, and if you look at it, it has indeed become popular after it released for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Go figure with all the amazing graphics and sound effects, you can’t go wrong with that with a realistic Southern California looks like the city, the mountains. The Desert, the Wildlife, and the everything, and it’s not just the graphics and the sound that made this game unique, it’s also the 3 little storylines that all merged into one giant storyline, and having one giant storyline that is the best in the entire series does tell you a whole lot and with those storylines comes missions which to my mind isn’t hard than we have seen in GTA IV, but it does provide a challenge for the gamers and with improved gameplay, that makes things a whole lot better.

For my final thoughts on this game, I feel that this game has brought a whole lot of gamers to experience a HD feel with doing numerous activities that are new and old to the series and with the big map to explore in is what games players enjoy this game so much and they are quite a few explorers out there like me, and I feel with all you can explore, I can be for sure you will enjoy this game. If you haven’t played this game for either the PS3, PS4, 360, XBone, or soon to be PC, you need to play this game as soon as you can, it is fun in so many levels.

For my final score, I will give this game a 9.7 out of 10, I view that a “9” fits very well with this game and you know the IB, The IB never gives the final score a 10 because I don’t want to sound bias to the game, so that’s mostly I gave it a 9 instead. This game to my point of view is extremely popular to modern gamers out there, no matter if you’re a GTA veteran like me or just starting onto GTA for the first time, you sure have gave this game a try, if not, you should, it’s fun, interesting, and entertaining. This is what makes this game a true game, this is why it gets a “9”.

Anyways, that is all for this review.
