Whether you call it fall or autumn, our current season is one of many festivities. Be it you have interest in them or not, there's still something somewhat serene about fall, maybe something potentially exciting. How is the season for all of you? For me, it's rather cold, but there's a very distinct calmness in the air. With it being a bit colder, less people are going outside and causing unpleasant noise, like the kids across the street.

Maybe you're enjoying drowning in pumpkin spice lattés, or maybe you're just waiting for the discount candy after Halloween, how are you going to enjoy autumn this year?

For your pleasure, feel free to listen to this while you consider and reply

I have got to say it.

I love Autumn.

The weather is just right. The leaves and trees are a beautiful color. A cool breeze energizes me in the air. I am reminded of all the time I used to spend role playing outside, getting notebooks ready to create new maps in a game me and my siblings made that was much like Dungeons and Dragons. (Only our parents wouldn't let us call it that. D&D was "demonic" in their eyes, and they were just trying to protect us. I'm still not allowed to play it to this day. At least as long as I live in their house. And to be honest, real D&D is too time consuming for me anyways. I'd much rather write or do sprite work. The only way you could get me do an RP like that is if I remade my old system and made it lot's faster. Now THAT would be fun!

Autumn. . . it's just so peaceful to be outside. Yet it will rain often enough to where you will be inside as well, just spending time with your family. Like. . . all the bad parts about summer is gone, and the best of winter is on it's way. You have time to be outside. You have time to be inside! You aren't hot. . . maybe a little cold at night where I live. (Which means time for more blankets!) The landscape becomes beautiful, which fills me with inspiration. (There's a reason my book takes place in a land where the woods have yellow leaves all year long!) I love walking by the creek, and smelling the cool, sweet air.

Ah. . . fall is just wonderful, for all those reasons above. The only bad part is maybe school, but now that I'm a roofer, I don't have to worry about my education anymore. Instead, the rainy days I get off. . . even if it clears up in the second half of the day, I still can enjoy staying home and taking a walk outside.

Autumn is simply lovely. It's easy to see why Yahovah choose Fall for the climax of the Hebrew year and the holiest day of the year. Ahhh.

*sighs contently amongst a pile of leaves* x3

I AM DYING!

I LOOOOVE Autumn, but it's just sucking right now.

School is destroying my mind, body and soul. Actually, let me rephrase that. Waking up at six-thirty a. m. every single day, dealing with imbecilic classmates, and having tons upon tons of homework EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT., is destroying my mind, body, and soul.

I like Autumn too.....it gives off I'm not sure how to describe it some sense of calmness. Like I often go outside to find the trees coloured, and it makes me to smile a lot because of how beautiful it looks. We can't really take nature for granted because you know it wouldn't be nice too. Its nice to look at nature once in a while, or when you can.

Fall is my favorite season. The temperature is amazing, 50-80 degrees. The cool breezes, and the cool, crisp fall air is refreshing. The start of football season is pretty great too. Sundays are that much more exciting with NFL football. There's a distinct calmness about fall that the other seasons do not have. Summer (my least favorite season) has everyone out and about and being loud and stuff. Winter has a lot of holidays, which is great, but it gets very hectic and exciting. Spring is also an active season with the trees blooming and summer on the way. I haven't even mentioned the beauty of the fall colors. It's so cool to see, especially in a mountainous or hilly region, just how diverse the tree colors are. The only downside to fall is a 10000% spike in schoolwork

I love autumn as well. It was cold enough today so I could finally wear my favorite sweater outside, alongside with a pair of woolen socks with my sneakers. It would've been perfect if it was raining, since I love to walk in the rain with my umbrella while admiring the autumn colors. And every year I wonder why I haven't bought a yellow raincoat yet, since yellow is my favorite color and it would fit perfectly with the colorful trees. On top of that the otherwise gray city looks so beautiful in autumn. Sure there's summer when everything's green but nothing beats the autumn colors! The best feeling after coming inside from the breeze, is noticing that it's a bit chilly at home as well, putting on some tea water and finding a blanket to cuddle inside in. This all sounds so cliched but that's what it's really like for me. If I sound crazy now wait 'til I start waiting for Christmas...

In my area Fall can be pretty with all of our hardwoods turning pretty colors especially maples. Its nice seeing God's creation and I'm reminded that he is the artists.

However, Fall can also be stormy for my area. Fall is our second peak of severe weather and tornadoes. Sometimes in late October to early December my area can get hammered with severe weather. November and October are 4th and 5th in severe weather and tornado reports.

My area is pretty mild. During the day highs will usually be in the 70's and sometimes low 80's. But temps drop to around 50 at night. This is mostly true in October.

November brings sudden changes to my area. Its possible for one day to be in the 70's. On the other hand due to the rain some days may stay in the 50's. November often is a stormy month.

First frost is usually around November 1st. First freeze is usually November 15th.

tornadocam : I'm hoping that the weather will be tame this Fall, so you can enjoy it a little easier.

As for colder weather well, it stays relatively normal, not going down to but around the 50s but with terrible wind chill. As for freezing, it usually doesn't happen until winter but heh, in my area we used to get frequent ice storms every year. It was pretty difficult getting food and stuff, and a lot of trees broke because of it. Luckily none of them crushed the house.

I liked stepping around only for my shoe to fall into inch thick ice

Does it get bad during the winter there too? I cherish the fall because it hasn't exploded into winter yet.

Well right now we are in a severe drought were we are 16 inches below rainfall. Yeah so we need rain and lots of it bad. Winter can be cool to mild. Usually not too bad. Sometimes we get ice storms and once in awhile snow. Mostly our winters usually are very wet

First off, it doesn't feel like fall yet for me. It's still way too hot and humid, making it very uncomfortable. Once it actually starts feeling like fall, I will be walking a lot more and being outdoors in general more often.

My favorite time of year: Autumn-Winter. Especially Autumn-Christmas. Our Autumn weather still hasn't hit, but when it does OH GRAVY I am going to be all over the place from sheer excitement! I just can't help but be overjoyed at it all every year. So excited.

How to celebrate... Well I'll probably take some walks and make some special threads on Vizzed. I'll also probably look for something special to play (video games) for Halloween and Christmas. Makes me want to order obscure Japanese and/or Christmas games from Amazon.

Halloween specifically will be about candy and shows like "It's the great pumpkin, Charlie Brown!".
Thanksgiving will just be happiness and maybe more Peanuts specials.
And Christmas will be insane. Special games and shows for a whole month (or two), cookies, treats, buying gifts for everyone, celebrating on Vizzed with seasonal threads, cocoa, special (non-alchoholic of course) drinks, etc. Oh gosh I'm so ready.
