Basic plot:
Someone/Some group has hacked into multiple government systems causing a series of nuclear attacks creating chaos for some personal gain/reason that will be decided later.
This story is fro the perspective of either:
A. A low rank soldier
B. A high ranking officer
C. An average families perspective on the events happening
D. All of the above
E. ____________ something else (post suggestions below)
Here's a quick part of the story
Intro:
As
the clock struck midnight, the fireworks lit up the cloudless night sky with a
dazzling display of multicolored sparks, filling the air with the sound of
explosions, cheering and joy. From the sandy beach, the large crowd watched the
fireworks with ignorance and bliss, oblivious to everything but the fireworks.
As the fireworks died down, and the New Year’s excitement had dissipated, the
crowd shuffled back to their homes or cars, drowsy and tired from staying up.
And it was in all that excitement, and tiredness, that they had failed to
notice the strange object that had come from a fighter jet flying overhead. The
strange object, appearing in the middle of the show was followed afterwards by
two more similar objects, each of them heading inland. As they streaked through
the sky towards a large commercial center became clear that the strange objects
were in fact nuclear warheads. With no warning and no possible preparation the
outcome was disastrous. Three massive explosions shook the city in a fiery
inferno, as nuclear fallout slowly spread through the city. The fireworks from
in earlier were forgotten, the joyous mood destroyed, and chaos spread. 911
operatives were flooded with calls and walls were completely covered with the faces
of loved ones.
As
response groups came, the chaos died down to a state of panic and worry. And
time passed rumors began spread. There were outraged cries demanding action, saying
that the attack was clearly terrorism, others saying it was another country
wanting to take over the U.S.A. Either way, people were hungry for revenge, and
filled with hate. Hostility against people of certain races or religions
increased, the internet had become an even crueler place then it had been. When
the government attempted to calm the public, they failed. For there was
something that they couldn’t tell the public, much less the majority of the government.
And that was that it wasn’t some terrorist or hostile country who fired those
warheads.
They were in fact fired on the command of the
U.S. President.
