At first, I wanted to do this when the forum got to 4000 posts but I misjudged how many posts were already made. Then I figured this could happen at 3500, but that would still take a while because the forum just isn't active enough to get there, so I figured it's best to end it the way it is, with just over 3300 posts at the time of this thread, which is still really good.
The forum is 7th on the list of rented forums with the most replies, which is great, but the place has had way too many slumps where it had zero activity. As of next month, the forum would have been two years old as well which is good.
We did try to bring more activity in by rebranding the entire place. Adding more topics and a plan to change the name and though that did make the place very active for a while, it went back to its normal state. Not even a contest with a Steam gift card could spur any activity so I guess it's time to the place to finally die. But don't worry, the place will still live on in the Video Game forum. I'm going to spend the next couple of days re working the subforums so they could fit in that forum better and then I will start closing things and moving. The majority of the threads will either be closed or stay closed with a few staying open as they move.
I'm still not sure what to do with the forum after all that's done. It will stay empty for a while, maybe a long time while decisions are made. It will either be sold to someone else for them to make a new forum, or I will make a new idea and start a new forum myself.
