I need some help picking out what Ds and 3ds games I should get for the 2ds I just bought from David. I had a 3ds before bit I sold it after 6 months because the only game I was able to get was Pokemon x but now I want to try to get more games but need help.

I know about all the Pokemon games of course as well as smash, Mario games, and bravely default, bit what are some other good 3ds games I should try out as well s regular Ds games?

zanderlex : Do you know about Kid Icarus Uprising? That game is definitely one of the most epic games on the 3ds. I still say that game has the best graphics on the system, and it came out back in 2012. Also there's so many collectables and loads of weapons that you can choose from. There's so much character customization options here. The only thing I should warn you about it and that's moving the camera during land battles, you have to use the stylus. If you're playing the game for a long period of time, your hand might start cramping, that's what happened to me. Other than that, the game is absolutely outstanding and a must buy for any 3ds owner. Another game is Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. That game offers hundreds of hours of content and a massive amount of quests. Also you'll be fighting many types of massive monsters. Just warning you though, it's one of the more difficult games on the 3ds. There are 3 Zelda games for the 3DS as well, A Link Between Worlds, which is the sequel to A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time 3D, and Majora's Mask 3D. Besides The numerous Pokemon and Mario titles and Bravely Default, those are some of the games I'd recommend. If you wish to hear anything else from me, just let me know. I have over 30 3ds games, and if you decide to buy or have already bought a Wii U, I could give you some must buys for that system as well, since I almost own 20 Wii U games. I hope what I said helps.

Okay so I haven't played that many 3ds games but I have still played a few, and from the top of my head these would probably my top picks besides the ones you already mentioned:

Fire Emblem: Awakening

Don't know if you've played any of the previous but as someone who got into the series through this game, I'd say it's a great starting point. It's a really good strategy RPG with tactical gameplay and a great story, if that sounds interesting to you at all I'd really recommend picking it up.

Monster Hunter 4

A game where you hunt monsters obviously and take on several bosses, not much in terms of story but it has epic real time combat, the monster hunter series as a whole is really underrated and this game is probably one of the best games to pick up it has great multiplayer as well so I'd really suggest getting this game at some point if you're able to.

The Legend of Zelda: A link between worlds

This is pretty much a must buy for Zelda fans, in some aspects it's kind of like a sequel of a link to the past so if you liked that game you should love this even then coming from someone who isn't that big of a fan of the series, I really enjoyed the game, it in my opinion solves a lot of the problems previous zelda games I've played have had, so I'd really it's a must buy if you're a zelda fan, even if you're not that experienced with the series, it's still a very good game to get started with it.

Zlinqx : Ninja man.

Short answer, I hate Zelda.

Long Answer, Meh, I dont want to play any new Zelda games.

I might give Fire Emblem a try, I played some of them here and I liked them but still too new to the series.

I've been addicted to Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate... But I completely understand if that's not your style of game. It has very little story, and focuses on punching monsters so you can wear them or punch other monsters with them.

Another game I've been playing is Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. It's actually fantastic. It plays a lot like the earlier games in the series, which I adore. The new 'Walking through walls'  thing is so innovative.

I've only played the demo of Resident Evil: Revelations, but it looks so good. I was shocked at how the game played like the PS2/PS3 versions of RE. I had no idea the 3DS was that powerful, I'm excited.

As for DS games... I'd recommend Hoshigami: Ruining Blue Earth. If you like games like Final Fantasy: Tactics, you'll likely love it. It has an Action Point system, instead of the traditional Move and Act actions. Moving each square consumes actions, as does attacking. So, you could spend your whole turn moving very far, or you could attack multiple times, it's so awesome. It was first on the PS1, but the remake on the DS is much better. And there are SO many weapon choices to use, even Boomerangs (my favorite).

Also, if you like silly games with good music, Elite Beat Agents is incredible. It's a rhythm based game, and it can get pretty difficult. Super fun though.

Well, that's my contribution. Hope it helps. I recently got a 2DS also.

zanderlex : I used to be the same, but I really liked that game despite hating games like OoT a lot.

Anyways yeah you should try Awakening, out of all the games I have played on my 3ds so far that is arguably my favorite, and it was my first in the series when I got last year, so I wouldn't worry about that, it's definietly a lot less brutal than other games since you have the option to turn off permadeath though I usually play with it on anyways.

Hm other games I can recommend, well I'd say Shin Megami Tensei IV if you haven't played it since it seems like a really good JRPG if you like those, I haven't actually played it though, I've been planning to get it but it might be worth looking into. Kid Icarus Uprising I've heard a lot of good things about too but does look a bit complicated to set up.

Oh and there's mario games like, Mario & Luigi Dream Team which is a Mario themed RPG if you've ever played any of the games in the series, there's Mario Kart of course and there's also Super Mario Land 3D. All worth looking into unless you hate Mario games :V

Zlinqx : Will you stop with the ninjaness? WHat is Shin Megami Tensai IV about? The only games I have done from that are the Persona 4 ones and I plan on getting all the DS Persona games. Super Mario 3D land is something I might want, pobably not Mario Kart.

zanderlex : Shin Megami Tensei IV is the 5th game in the mainline SMT series (If... also counts, that's why it's the 5th), and you play as samurais in a post apocalyptic Japan. SMTIV is nothing like Persona, and I wouldn't recommend it as your first mainline game. I'd recommend Nocturne as a mainline. As for DS SMT games, I'd recommend starting with Devil Survivor, but please get the 3DS version, it is far superior

zanderlex : I'm not much of an authority on it since I haven't gotten it yet though I do plan on getting it, but if you like the Persona games you're probably going to enjoy Shin Megami Tensei 4, because the Persona games are originally a spin off form the SMT games. In my opinion it's a must buy in that case, it's a great JRPG anyways.

Sorry I'm just a ninja like that.
