I had a few plans for new features for this Tour de Vizzed but I never found the time to work on them so there's really not much new in this Tour de Vizzed compared to last time. The daily 'Double CP Actions' have changed though so be sure to check out the list.



Here's some brief TdV info:

Each day there will be 4 Jerseys you can compete for:
Yellow Jersey: Most words in a day
Blue Jersey: Most posts in a day
Red Jersey: Most CP in a day
Green Jersey: Most CP actions in a day

If you get 1st place in a Jersey for a day, you get to "wear" that Jersey the following day. To "wear" it means that the background of your username will have a unique background graphic. Only the top 5 places of each Jersey gets points, 1st gets 5 and 5th gets 1. Whoever has the most points for any Jersey at the end of the competition gets to wear that Jersey for the entire next month. If you have more than 1 jersey, your jersey receives stripes for each jersey color you own.

Along with the Jerseys are Banners that change your username color. They basically represent who has the most points total:
Rainbow Banner: Whoever has the most points so far in the competition
White Banner: New member who has the most points so far in the competition (anyone who has signed up in the past 3 months)

Tour de Vizzed Rules:

You'll be DQ'd if:
-More than 25% of your daily posts are made in one of the following forums: Crazy House, Vizzed Market, Polls and Questions, Video Game Craziness, Newbie Forum (unless posts are made in your own thread then it's 50%)
-You copy content from other websites or other posts
-You use the "tabbing" technique to make a bunch of posts in a short amount of time
-You're caught cheating or unfairly earning Contribution Points
-More than 25% of your daily posts are made in the same thread (your own thread and staff threads are an exception)
-If 50% or more of your daily words are posted in the final hour of the day

Additionally:
If you get DQ'd just once from a Jersey, you can no longer get points for that Jersey for the rest of the month. We will be very strict from now on with the Tour de Vizzed. Only CP actions which you earned CP off of count toward the Green Jersey.

If you get DQ'd from too many Jerseys in too many TdV competitions, you'll be DQ'd from the TdV forever. Also, if you get DQ'd from a single Jersey in too many competitions, you'll be DQ'd from that specific Jersey forever.

Also, if 50% or more of your daily words are posted in the final hour of the day, you'll be DQ'd from the Yellow Jersey. Too many users have waited until the end of the day to submit a bunch of reviews to the site and that's unfair to users competing.



Additional Tour de Vizzed Info:

Some CP actions only count as 1 per day. In other words, any action in the below list can only increase your Green Jersey points by 1:
Forum Navigation, Review Rated, User Referral Posted, Video Rated, Post Spell Checked, Visiting Vizzed, Screenshot Rated, Post, Game Commenting, Thread, Thread Reply, Chat Room Minute, Staff Forum Post, Staff Forum Thread and Screenshot Details Added.

These CP actions do not count toward the Green Jersey: Game Content.

Each day there will be a specific CP action which will be worth doubled the points which benefits the Red Jersey competition. Below is a list of which actions are worth doubled on which days this month:

Here it is again! The most divisive month(s) of the year! So far all seems to be going well enough; me and gamerforlife are neck and neck for the blue.

Good luck to all competing! And for those avoiding it, well, less stress for you I guess.

This is going to be fun. Mostly going for Blue like always and trying to get my CP count up.


Davideo7 : I see you changed up when the double CP days fall, and has there been any word on the CP per action limit since it was brought up long ago?

This TdV, I'm gonna do something amazing. I want to get rainbow. It shall be glorious. I know it will be hard, but still. This is the only month that I have a decent chance at winning.

Here we go again! This is going to be a fun month. My goal for this time is to win an overall jersey this time. Maybe I can win blue or green. I guess I'll find out soon enough!

It will be tough though because a lot of people are on summer vacation. I don't have that luxury.

Boxia : We definitely needed the Tour de Vizzed to come because site activity lately has been real bad lately. I think the average post count per a day has been lower so far this summer than any summer in the past 5 years.

zanderlex : I'm going for Green this time so I'm glad we're not going for the same thing, otherwise I'd lose lol.

I'll work on doing the CP per action limit sometime this month.

ZeroTails : It'll most likely be really difficult for you to get rainbow during the first week, but after the first week things usually chill out. Remember to keep going, and if you give up on rainbow you should go for the top 5 or even top 3!

gamerforlifeforever2 : I remember you ranking in the green jersey often when you were only a trusted member, so you should be able to do the same now that you're a staff.

I've never ranked in the green jersey for even one day before, but now I'm staff and I have a few more CP actions I can do, so one day this month I might give it a shot. For now I'm just going for points in the blue jersey as usual. I might not be competing much this month because I have a lot of friends I want to spend quite a bit of time with, and there are a lot of games I keep wanting to play on vizzed XD

Tip to people going for the red/green jersey: Don't rate anything, or be very careful doing it. Back when the CP VCS was around, some people rated screenshots, videos, and reviews a few times and got DQ'd.

Davideo7 : Oh, I forgot about Green. :p. I'm going to be concentrating a lot of staff work this month so...

Also, about the CP limit per action, I've been working on a theory recently and I don't think there actually is a limit for how much CP you can get per action. The CP page doesn't go higher than 999 for an action, but I thinkthe extra CP still gets added to your monthly and overall total.

I first noticed this in APril when I made a 5800 word review on double CP day, and apparently if you add up all the CP that janus and Ex Palen got per action in June, both come up to be about a couple hundred CP short of what their actual Monthly Cp totals were.

Barathemos : Yeah with game adding but to be honest, I wouldn't add games just for the sake of competing in Green because it's a ton of work and I could spend hours doing it and not get that many actions. I just figured that since I'm already planning on adding 100s of games to the site this month, I might as well try and compete for Green.

I'm going to compete, but I'm not pushing myself too hard like a few years ago where I pumped out 110 posts a day...

Summer is officially here, folks! I wanted to compete a little bit, but I think I'll wait for a less active month.

Nice to see we're going to do something about the CP limit per action, it has been suggested for a while now. I don't mind if the changes don't come into effect until next month, as long as it is done I'm fine.

Davideo7 : That sounds quite interesting. I mean I never tried Tour de Vizzed  (I think) but lets do this! Anyway I might try my best so good luck to you guys okay!

TdV, how much I despise it, well, all recent TdVs except October 2014's and January 2015's TdV which were decent ones..

I would compete, but I have a lot of stuff going on irl, so it will knock me out of winning it.

Every Tour de Vizzed I have participated in, I have gotten in the Top 10, and most of the time, Top 5. I don't know if I will compete for the rainbow or not at this point... but I'll surely try to finish in the Top 10 once again, just to keep that streak going. 

I should probably go a bit more in detail about my plan for this month. I'm going to be going on with my normal goal of going after Blue and I'm going to be going all out on CP this month but instead if posting like 2 to 3 reviews a day in going to be concentrating a ton of review and stuff onto a few select days so I can get what I need and nit have too much of an effect overall on red and yellow. I will also try yo finish in either 2nd or 3rd place unless something happens.

TDV is finally here! I'm excited to see how everyone does this month and may the best person win! I always wanted to compete again in the TDV competitions but I stay busy a lot so the best thing to do is just do my job which is modding the forums and stuff. Good Luck everyone!
