Have you ever wanted to feel what it would be like to struggle between the light and dark side? Ever wanted to destroy the Sith? The Jedi? Are you a Dark Lord at heart? Well, this LucasArts masterpiece has a little of everything for everyone! Let's go through the galaxy in this classic Space Opera, the predecessor of the great choice orientated awesomeness! Become friends with your companions, kill the assassin, and figure out what you are doing! Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords was developed by Obsidian Entertainment, published by LucasArts. Join me and we can rule the Galaxy together! Graphics: The graphics have aged nicely! Especially considering that it has better graphics then some games currently have. It's incredible how good the cut-scenes are, but the cut-scenes seem to have the same detail in the actual game! That gives the nostalgic game a great thing for the newer generations! The dust from your space-craft falling is done with detail, the invisibility is done with the same accuracy! The game is just the best out there! I give it a 10/10 for not focusing too much on graphics, but they didn't brush it off to the side either! That is what makes it so great! KOTOR II has awesome graphics... They aged well. For that, I give it a 10/10. Sound: Star Wars! That really should be enough to tell you how awesome it is, but I can't write a review like that. The soundtracks keep the original feeling from Star Wars, while remaining unique in the many games and movies that have been released. Many of the same themes have been used in the games that followed KOTOR. Specifically it has been used in Star Wars: The Old Republic. That is just how good they made the songs. All original, all keep the same galactic feel, and all of them build the game's awesomeness! (Mark Griskey is the best!) You just have to respect what they did with the game. Keeps the feel, keeps the uniqueness. 9/10! Story: Steam has it in a user category: Story Rich. And, that sums the plot up! You are a Jedi... Or are you? The last game had a plot twist to blow all minds! Does this one follow That? The Jedi are nearing exstinction, and you can join them on the light side, or become the dark Lord. Yes, this is a choice based game! The very standard of them! As each decision affects at least one companion, it affects the outcome of the entire story. It's not as big as Mass Effect's choice range, but it was the one that BioWare started! This is one of the best decision based games out there! I like The Force Unleashed, but its choice is only at the end. This one is riddled with choices, through the entire game! It's an RPG, and a good one too! Can you ask for more? Oh, and an Assassin Droid, that even has a "moral" compass... Although it is distorted. The story is awesome! Some of the best in Video Games! 10/10. Gameplay/ Controls: The game controls the same way that the old one did. You use the numbers to determine the attack you want to use. Also, you must make sure that you are targeting the right person, because if you die, you restart, and their alive again. This poses problems... How do I know who is stronger? Well, you learn this fast... And, maybe you can just sneak past them. Not everyone needs to die. The game is smooth, and it has a feel like a Real time game, but really, it's turn based... a crossover, more or less. It's smooth, and they have done it with a great idea. They give a perfect middle, that makes it fun, easy and well designed. Also, you command the squad. Pause the battle, yes you can do that. This gives you time to think about the moves you should be using to defeat each foe. That makes it much better for people who like strategy... that is people like me. The game is really nice. It's a 10/10! (All games need to follow ones that do the right thing!) Depth: Conversations are crucial! But, there are almost always three choices. Each has a conversation outcome... Sometimes, you can do all options... Now, there are two outcomes to the game. It's an RPG, right? What about those elements? Well, glad you asked. You can level up your character, auto-level up companions, or even level their character up! Light side and Dark side points are key! But, you get them from actions, battle, conversation, and some other things... That makes it really hard to gather them, especially if you need to analyse the choice, and the possible outcome/ consequences of the choice. This may seem like I'm straying, but now I'll connect everything together! You must make each choice, and you can also go back and play it again... Meaning that each and every playthrough can be unique. You may wish to save before each conversation, cause if you don't, you may lose some influence over them! The game has a surprising amount of content! 9/10. Difficulty: The game can be hard. Especially if you aren't sure what answer you give will give Light or Dark side points. This makes even the "easier" part of the game, slightly hard. There are cut-scenes, and in many of these, you don't really have much choice. But, the combat can be hard as well. If your "perfect" strategy wasn't quite as good as it was, well, then you just died! Reload Save! Start over. Sometimes, it can take three tries before you even get the right combination! Also, you never start out with a lightsaber. You must get a good weapon, but you have to "level" up to it. What I mean with that is that you have to fight, fight and fight some more before you can become a proper Jedi or Sith. It's a good idea, as it adds to the difficulty of the game, and it makes it much better when you do finally get the "ultimate" weapon. 9 or 8/10... It's hard, because it depends on how you do everything. It really should get an 8.5/10. Overall: *Que Robot voice...* "Analysis: The game is good. Verdict: The game should be played. Conclusion: It's one of the best sequels and Star Wars games ever." (HK-47... Assassin Droid.) And, lastly... Fake Spoiler: The game is just one of the best ever! Why haven't you gotten the game yet! Stop reading and get the game with awesome music, great choices! And, STORY! The story is one of the best I've ever experienced! I give it a 9.8/10! Graphics: The graphics have aged nicely! I think you did a very good job with this review. You did a great job explaining why you think this is a good game. I played the first Knights of the Old Republic game but I've never played this one. After reading the review though, I think I may need to try it. |

Yet another good review of yours, and about a game fitting your name pretty well . The structure is excellent, you give it enough detail to be interesting but not too much as to spoil or bore your reader and your appreciation is obvious. NOW you really make me want to play those games. Hell, a Star Wars RPG; does it get any better than that?! NOW you really make me want to play those games.
