It's a bit random, but I need to know whether it is possible to split the potassium in a peeled banana from everything else.
Since it's a banana, I'm pretty sure you can't melt it, and then use electrolysis, but it might also be possible create a solution and then perform electrolysis, although I'm not sure if it's possible. So is it possible split the potassium in a banana from the other stuff?

If a you are a chemist, then yeah. But why not just take potassium supplement pills?

We'd probably have a low yield, but it's definitely possible.

There are procedures for getting potassium carbonate from the banana peels by burning them and using the ashes (I suppose the same process could be used for the whole banana).

Once you have potassium carbonate, electrolysis should be able to get you purified potassium.

Thanks, I actually need the info for a story I'm going to write soon in my language arts class, and I just to make sure what will happen in the story is actually possible. But I'm still wondering if it is possible to obtain the potassium from a peeled banana, not the peels.

If the character's idea is to get a lot of purified potassium, bananas would be really inefficient.

There are a lot of foods with much higher potassium content, like potatoes and beans.

EideticMemory :
Yes, but for the sake of the story, bananas would probably be funnier and more interesting, especially since it would take longer to get more potassium.
And thanks to the video you posted, I know for sure that it is possible to obtain potassium from some part of banana somehow for sure.

Mangepic :

No problem.

As for extracting potassium from a peeled banana, the same process that was shown for the peel should work.
