When I went to see NOAH in IMAX, I was not expecting to see what I had. I will admit that I don't know the story of Noah that well and I had only decided on seeing the movie because the trailers looked interesting. When the movie first began, I began to change my mind about the movie because the run time was almost 2 and a half hours, so I thought that aside from what is depicted in the trailer, parts of the movie would be boring. I was wrong, the movie was nowhere close to being boring and when it comes to story alone, could have been one of the best movies that I have ever seen.
The movie was filled with actors that had put on a great performance. Noah was played by the great Russle Crowe and he had one of the best acting performances I had ever seen. Other stars that took part in the film included Emma Watson, Logan Lerman (Percey Jackson), and Anthony Hopkins (Odin). At first, when I saw the trailer, I thought that using such actors would negatively affect the movie, but in my opinion, they did a great job with each of their roles.
As for the graphics, there were a lot of them. As a matter of fact, the objects in the movie that used the least amount of special effects was the ark, which I believe was actually put together. The animals, the rain, some of the characters, and other events and actions used a great amount of special effects which worked well.
As for the music, it was fine. I don't really remember much about the music except that during a scene that was meant to be dramatic or scare you, the music did just that.
Overall, every minute of the film was heart pounding. There were scenes where the directors did a great job at scaring the lights out of us, there were a few scenes where I couldn't help buy cry, and there were a few scenes where I couldn't do anything but stare at the screen in awe. I am very glad that I saw this movie and I am going to give it a grade of 9.3 and I could easily predict that this could be one of the 5 best movies that I will see all year.
