Seeing as you're a 12-year-old girl, Animal Crossing: New Leaf is a strong recommendation. Personally, I thought it was horrible, but then again that's one of the top 3DS games. The only Animal Crossing game that I ever enjoyed was Gamecube port of the first one. It's huge, but I was never much into decorating houses. You know what I always did? I probably played around 200+ hours, 75% of that fishing... I never did get my complete fishing dictionary thingy. I also collected around 150 Gyroids.

But how much money do you have, exactly? The Wii U has a lot of great exclusives, and the 3DS Smash Bros. game looks strongly inferior to the Wii U port.

The Wii U Deluxe Package is $300, and it comes with Nintendo Land (which is an OK game, I guess). If you spend your money on that, you won't have any more money to buy some more games. So I would save up after buying one 3DS game until you have enough for an extra Wii U game.

That's what I'm doing, at least. Playing some $8 3DSware games while I'm saving up for some good Wii U games. I have around $420, but 2 games is never enough for me
