What does everybody think of this game? It was released  in Japan a month ago and has already been a huge sucess and the game had been scheduled for a North American release on February 7th. The game is made by Square Enix, the same guys who made Final Fantasy and other great games.

Some reviewers said that this game could become better that Final Fantasy.

Yesterday, I received an email from Nintendo and that was how I heard about the game for the first time, apparently until the game is released, the demo is free for the 3DS. I just downloaded it and I'm going to test it out to see if it's really worth it.

Have any of you heard of the game or plan on getting it?

Yes I heard about this.. I think it might be better than Final Fantasy but I guess we will just have to wait and see. I would download the demo for 3DS but I can't right now sense my 3DS stays at my cousin's house most of the time. From what I seen it looks like it might be pretty popular in the next month after it's released in America.

So, I played the demo for about 5 minutes, and there were many things about it that I liked, and there was one thing that I 100% did not like. Let me start with this one thing that I hated, the fact that the demo runs on number of uses. This has nothing to do with what the full game will be like, but it seriously affects how much of an experience I can get with the demo and what I think overall about the game will change depending on how much of the game I play.

The demo gives you 30 uses, and though that's a lot, there is no way to guarantee that each time you play the game, you will get a decent amount of time out of the game. I only played the demo once, but it was just a quick glance that only lasted 5 minutes as I said before and then I had to leave.

I do like playing games for long periods of time, but I can't guarantee that each of the 29 remaining times, I'm going to play for a long amount of time. I am almost positive that there will be a few times where I start the game and have to soon leave to do something, it just won't work out. I would have preferred if the demo went on a time limit or if the demo went until a certain point and then gave up, at least I would have been able to get a fair amount of game play.

Aside for that, the game is amazing. In the demo, I start off in some sort of house and then I walked around the town area. I was very interested in the way the town area was designed because it looked way better than anything I have seen in a DS game before. I didn't spend much time in the town, I went straight out into the unknown area outside the town where there is a huge map of nothingness where enemies pop out of nowhere like they do in Pokemon.

The battling system in this game is amazing, in addition to simple attack, item, and run commands, there are a huge assortment of things you can do during a battle. The battling graphics look amazing, as it's something I have never really seen before when it comes to the DS games and I was really impressed by it.

The makers of the game also made it so playing the demo before you play the full game will give you a huge advantage because as you progress in the demo, you earn special items and such that can be transferred over into the full game when it releases.

Normally, I am in a phase where I don't want to buy new games for the 3DS, this is because the only game I have for the 3DS is Pokemon X and I am not even half way done with the game, and I have a little thing that lets me play certain DS games on the 3DS. Because of this, I have many other games as well, some of which I have not even started playing yet.

Normally, people would beat the games, or at least try to get the most out of a game before they spend money on a brand new game, I think I am going to make an exception for this game because it looks so awesome. If I can get access to the money that is needed, I am going to try to get this game as soon as I can and I am going to play as much as I can of it.

There is one thing that's a bit weird about the game because there had apparently been a huge update to the game after it was released in Japan. Because of this, the company is the current American edition as a sequel. The original game came out in Japan on October 11th 2012. The updated version had been released in Japan on December 5th 2013 called Bravely Default: For the Sequel. This kind of confuses me a bit I guess.

Square Enix had done something similar with other games but it had worked because they were published on different systems, not on the same one. For instance, Square Enix was the main publisher for Persona 4. The game was released for the PS2 and a couple years later, major updates were made to the game and the updated game was called Persona 4 Golden, but it was released for the PS Vita. Doing this is a good idea, but I see no point in just updating the same game and selling it as a new game in Japan. This is not going to happen outside of Japan though because everybody else will be getting the updated version as the first game in their countries series.

In my opinion, the only game to successfully market an updated game as a brand new game just a year after the original release is Pokemon, but they have been able to do this because the series had been so popular and this update had been worldwide, not just limited to Japan as this game was.

In addition to this updated version, there has also been a real sequel that is already planned called Bravely Second. Currently, the American version is sloted to cost 40 dollars, which is another thing that I don't really like about 3DS games, the price. I could go on for hours talking about how, unlike PS games, the DS game prices rarely drop, a copy of Pokemon HeartGold still goes for about 40 dollars.

There is also a Collectors Edition which costs about 55 dollars. I don't know what is in the Collectors Edition, but unless I get blown away by what is in there, I am going to stick with the regular.

As the American release gets closer and closer, I will keep an eye out for all the reviews that will be coming out to determine whether or not I really am going to get the full game, and if I do get the full game, I hope it keeps me interested for an extended period of time. As I play more of the demo, I will report more on what I see.
