So in Pokemon there is something called a Pokemon's "nature". When some of us see these natures we tend to just ignore them because we do not realize what each nature means. Now recently I have been playing through different Pokemon hacks that are really tough to beat and after I told some players in game my natures of each Pokemon I realized why the difficulty of the hacks were more difficult for me than others and that is because of my Pokemon's "Natures". Now I have been playing Pokemon games for years and never really decided to look into natures and EV training because I do not play Pokemon competitively. BIG MISTAKE on my end!
So why are natures so important? Because every nature does something different with your Pokemon's stats. And the wrong nature with certain Pokemon makes there stats become not as good as they should be and your Pokemon ends up fainting more and not dealing as much damage if they are sweepers.
So to kind of help out everyone I decided to break down each Nature you see your Pokemon having and explaining what each does. Sometimes you will have a Pokemon that has natures that do not affect there stats in some way which is not bad but other times you will have a Pokemon with a nature that exchanges something like lowered speed but higher defense which if you have a nature like that on something like your Swellow that can be very deadly since a Swellow is used as a sweeper because of its speed! So here is the list of natures and what each one does!
Hardy-Does not affect anything
Quirky-Does not affect anything
Docile-Does not affect anything
Serious-Does not affect anything
Bashful-Does not affect anything
Lonely-Raises attack, lowers defense
