Have you ever wanted to change your oil, but you have no clue where to begin? Do you need help finding the inverse sine of -0.35 in radians? Are you curious to learn another language, or how to create a paper mache basket? Well, for the first time ever, vizzed has a place for you to learn about all these topics and more! Are you ready to learn?Well, the first thing that you need to know is that this forum will not run like most forums. There are two purposes and sections to this forum: Teacher Discussions, and Learning Articles. In the Teacher Discussion area, teachers are free to have discussions regarding topics like interesting lesson plans, success stories, or classroom management ideas. The Learning Articles, however, can be thought of as an encyclopedia written by vizzed members.Due to the fact that we wish this form to remain as accurate and intelligent as possible however, we need to implement the first and MOST IMPORTANT rule:Rule 1: You may not create a thread here unless you have been given permission to do so.
Although we realize this rule may seem a little intimidating, we do not want to discourage your involvement. However, we will be screening applicants who wish to be an 'expert' in a certain topic and each one of the people accepted will be considered a 'teacher' in this forum. Each teacher will be a steward of his or her own thread, facilitating discussion and answering questions. If you want to know more about a certain topic, we ask that you simply respond to the topics that already exist. You can read more about becoming a Fountain of Knowledge teacher and apply in this thread. An equally important rule:Rule 2: Only real life teachers may post in the Teacher Discussions sub-forum.
This is a place for teacher to network and share experiences. If you wish to post a thread about your favorite teacher or subject, or something that happened to you in one of your classes, please do so in the School Forums. If you post in the Fountain of Knowledge in the teacher sub-forum, and you are not a teacher, your thread will be moved to the appropriate location.
An incomplete list of real-life teachers: Light Knight, Singelli, rcarter2, play4fun, kramer4077, KiyokoNee, Elara
(I know there are more but those are the ones that come to mind right now. If any of you know of other teachers on vizzed, please let me know so I can extend this list)Now let's discuss some common sense rules:
Rule 3: All language and material will be kept family friendly. In an effort to cooperate with already existing site rules, this forum will be strictly monitored. This is not a place to spam, curse, or start flame wars. We will not tolerate derision, rudeness, or disregard for vizzed staff member and users.
Rule 4: Plagiarism will result in a ban from this forum.
It is not cool with us if you take credit for other people's work. It is alright to properly cite a resource, but do not expect to copy material without giving credit where it is due. Anyone using this forum can be assured that the material is shared knowledge of the vizzed user, and uniquely written.
This thread will be edited as needed. becerra95 : pray75 :
