What was your first Metroid game? Metroid is a great series, yet slight eerie....the monsters are creative and I'm glad Nintendo lets a female have her own games. My first Metroid game was Super Metroid. In fact it was my first Super Nintendo Entertainment System game! I got it when I was around eight, so my mother scolded me for playing it because Metroid is a little bit dark, don't you think?

My first Metroid game was also Super Metroid.  It is a freakin awesome game.  The gloomy atmosphere helps to create nicely tense moments, along with the slight puzzle aspects and exploring every nook and cranny just make one heckava game.  In fact Super Metroid is the only metroid game I've enjoyed.  The original is ok and one day I will probably play it through.  I do not like the gamecube versions, I want a new 2d metroid game.

Correction to my post:  I also beat the two gba metroid games but I've forgotten their names.

My first Metroid game was number three Super Metroid. I didn't really get into the series till I played Prime 1 on the Gamecube though.

My first Metroid game would have been Super Metroid.. to this day it's my favorite game and I think it always will be.. a lot of the other games I didn't find as fun as this one.. I guess it just brought an impression on me.

I remember playing Metroid Fusion when I was around the age of 3 (when I started gaming). I had no idea what I was doing, but I would go on my brother's profile and try to beat the SA-X... that guy was hard.

I remember first getting Metroid Prime Hunters for the DS. It was probably the best game I had played on the DS. The first person worked well with a stylus, the music was great the graphics were exceptional for the console. I could go on to say how great the game was and still is.

It isn't my favourite one though since I have played Super Metroid on vizzed which I then bought for my SNES that I got a few months ago. Super Metroid is great, I wish they would make another side scroller for the 3DS.

fightorace : The GBA games were Metroid Fusion and a Remake of the original. I hope that helped.

My first game in this series was Super Metroid. The graphics of the time were great, I loved the music, and it was also very difficult for me back when I first played it. I still never got 100% or got Samus without her armor.

Someday....

I started to play a game from the Metroid series lately so my first game is Metroid Fusion from the Gameboy Advance. I never played it before so I decided to try it out. I can see why people love the Metroid series. Lots of action and button mashing does keep people interested in the game series. I like how the main character, Samus, is a female and there aren't that many female characters in the gaming world. It's nice to have a change for once.

I have always had a soft spot for the Metroid series.  I got my start in the series back in the NES days with the original Metroid game.  Shortly after I beat that one, I got my hands on Metroid II for Christmas from my Dad (To date, Metroid II is still my favorite game in the series.)  Since then, I have played (And loved) Super Metroid, and all of the Gameboy (GB, GBC, & GB Advance) games in the series, and have enjoyed them all.

The only Metroid games that I didn't really enjoy were the Metroid Prime series.  I had a hard time getting into that series, and I struggled to finish them.

Super Metroid on Super Nintendo was the first I actually spent time in. Me, my brother, and my mom all played it. I think I got one on the Wii around that time, but I got stuck after a while, I could probably get through it now of course, that was years ago.

My first one was Metroid Prime for GameCube. I have since beaten nearly every Metroid game and can say with confidence that it is my favorite game series of all time.

My first Metroid game was Super Metroid for the SNES. Such a great game, it would definitely go on my top 5 games. Great graphics, inventive monsters and one of the best soundtracks of all time are just a few good things out of 20.

My first Metroid game I played was Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Man I enjoyed every minute of it and decided to get the Metroid Prime Trilogy to play the first 2 Metroid Prime games. Didn't really like the controls for the Gamecube versions.

I came somewhat late to the Metroid series but I was drawn to it when I got Samus's trophy in Super Smash Bros. Melee & found out Samus was a girl. The first game I picked up was Metroid Prime. That got me hooked on the series. I just love the Prime Trilogy. The other games are really good too, but I'll always have a special place in my video game heart for the Prime series.

The first one I played was the original on an emulator. I was lost from the word go. I had no idea what I was doing. The only thing I knew was that the main character is Samus and the bosses are Ridley, Krain and the final boss which I won't name for spoilers as some people may have not played the game. The game was very difficult and quite cheap at times as sometimes enemies get free hits when you are entering doors as Samus takes forever getting through the doors. Thankfully it didn't happen too many times. I eventually looked up a walk through and beat the game in 7 hours real time but 3 hours in the game time mainly because I liked exploring different areas the game has to offer. If you want to play the original I would say play the Game boy remake as I feel it is better and it has cool little cut-scenes in it.

My first Metroid Prime was on Game Cube so I had to say it's also my favorite, because it's the only one I have played, don't remember what the whole name of that game was but I really liked it. Someday I will check what kind of Metroid games they have in Vizzed, hopefully they are almost as good as the one on Game Cube.
