So it was confirmed today that the Wii-U delux edition is getting a price drop to 299.99$...but the great part is that not only does the game come with the remake Wind Waker HD, it also comes with a download code for the "Hyrule Historia" book as well as a special edition controller that looks pretty awesome. Available to pre-order now. Release date is September 20th for North America.

I was waiting for a price drop to pick this bad boy up (as well as some good games to actually play) and this might just be the kick I needed to finally pick one up. Can't pass up that deal.

That sounds awesome. I researched up on the 2DS, but I never heard about this. Now, I can actually pick this guy up without spending more cash than I did when I bought my six 3DSes (Don't ask.). But, yeah. Definitely taking advantage of this and picking this up.

I have yet to get a Wii U or actually play a Zelda game on an actual console (I have played Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, Windwaker, and Minish Cap ?on various emulators in hopes of getting me into the series... but I'm just thinking I don't have a proper Controller { I often use a 360 Controller, but it's D-pad sucks for 2D games.}), but because of the price drop AND it comes with a brand new game I might just have to buy it.

Oh yeah... They said that The Windwaker HD would come out on Dec 31(?) in a Nintendo Direct. Does that mean that the game will come out then or will it be released on Sept. 20th? Apparently the Game will come out on October 4th so not to far away from the bundle release. 

Also, Is the Basic version of the Wii U going to receive a price drop as well? its also 299.99, so would they just... stop making them? 

I actually noticed this browsing the GameStop site page trying to look for reduced prices this is probably the most notable price reduce I saw but it also has a Wii U game pad Zelda related which I'm really interested in I also been wanting to play Wind Waker recently as well.

fusionaceblus : That's a good point. You probably get a download code for the game when it comes out although I haven't seen the specifics. I'll double check when I have a few mins.

Wow that is an insane drop!

I think nintendo should just make remakes of zelda in order. It would be cool to see the original in the perspective of the 3D games. I think a remake on either a Link to the Past or Majora's Mask (so they can go in order from ocarina of time).

   Kind of disappointed that it won't be the digital copy of the game. I always prefer having the real thing. And the controller looks a little plain. But the price drop is great. But it won't sell unless Nintendo starts advertising it. That seems to be the biggest problem. Wii got lots of sales from people who weren't normally into video games.
   But those same people think that the Wii U is just something like the Balance Board. Something that isn't needed. And hopefully, Nintendo drops the 8gb system, and offers the premium in white as well as black. The 8gb system has no need to exist anymore. If they do it right, they should show how it is $200 cheaper than the Xbox, and $100 cheaper than the PS4. 

patar4097 : Get used to the games ALL becoming Digital. That's in the future.

Personally I don't care anymore since most games don't give you a full manual anymore and are cutting down on waste in general so I might as well just go with the flow. It's just nice that they are throwing in a game considering most systems don't do that anymore ESPECIALLY while at the same time dropping the price.

I'm not sure about your comments regarding the controller. It seems pretty cool to me. More detailed than the original controller. Plus it's geared towards Zelda fans, so if you aren't one it probably doesn't appeal to you.

Nintendo usually does just fine with regards to their pricing and honestly parents will see that when they go to the store. Honestly what will sell Nintendo systems is if they release games for the system that their long time fans want to play. That's the main problem with most systems these days is that they are released, and there's only 1 or two games that people really want to play at launch.

Jordanv78 : The only problem with the controller is it seems a little plain to me. I like the design, but looking at some of the awesome 3ds designs, like the X and Y and Pikachu one, I feel they could have done something like that. 

   Another thing that Nintendo should do, is show that technically, the system is cheaper than the $300, because you are getting the game with it. But again, it depends on how they advertise it.
