So, my Dad was over at my aunties house, cleaning up some things in her basement, when they spotted an NES. Apparently, my aunt was thinking about selling it until my dad mentioned that me and my family might like it.

Later, my Dad came home with a boxed NES, a model signed racing car, and a couple games (and a game genie! )
After a long and boring half an hour of failing at setting it up, we eventually managed to do it, now we have an NES set up.

I have a few games like Super Mario Bros 2, (the USA + Europe one) Blaster master, Ninja Turtles arcade thingydoodle (Never actually played it) and Little Nemo. The Boxes (along with the NES box) are all on my brother's desk. We have more games, but I haven't really heard of most games. Also, of course, we have a Game Genie to go along with it.

I'm playing on it right now on SMB2, with my brothers watching me. I took a break and let my little brother play to write this (you might know him as Sonic&Knuckles on this forum) and it's doing well. No glitches, no flickers, it's perfect. Not a single problem with SMB2 - also, the first time we put the cartridge in, it worked like a charm! That's rather rare for a console from 1985, no?

Mostly, I was writing this to see if anyone knows any cheap, online shops for NES games (without bidding) and also delivers to Europe. I might show it to my dad if anyone knows. I'm mostly aiming for SMB & Duck Hunt.

It'd also be cool to have some box protectors, but I'm European, and my parents would object to someone sending me things :
Anyway, that there pretty much wraps up my post, and don't forget to suggest some websites and games

~Pikachi~ : Congrats, I already have a NES (My dad gave me his) and all the games he has!

I have several SMB & Duck Hunt, and several NES Blasters, but my parents will say no to give it away or sell it to someone.... :|

Anyway, I don't think it will work unless you have a NTSC NES....

Sadly I don't have the box for the NES or any games I have for it.....

Your NES have no glitches/flicker wow.... Mine does it sometime, as long as I clean my NES and NES games regularly, it works fine.

As for getting games/controllers for a cheap price, look and see if there is a flea market around your area, that's where I get most of my games for around $5-$10 each... sometimes even less!

I hope you have a fun time with your NES and if you have any questions about it just ask me!

P.S. It took you half an hour to set up your NES! XD It only took me 5-10 to set up mine and, I wish I had a Game Genie for my NES, lucky you!

Congratulations If you want Super Mario Bros and Duck Hunt In one order I suggest you take a look at this...

 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Super-Mario-Bros-Duck-Hunt-Nintendo-NES-1985-/321191955210

It's on Ebay for a decent price and I think it is on buy now as well as the normal bid.

I recently found a Sega Game Gear in my loft which once belonged to my mum which had Sonic the Hedgehog on it, we never got it to work though...

Congratulations on getting an NES! You can always find some interesting stuff when you clean up your house. And a Game Genie on it too? Dang, I can't even get that on the computer. My computer blocks me from playing the NESCafe emulator in the Retro Game Room for security reasons

Check out stoneagegamer.com for possible purchasing retro carts for the NES. I'm not sure if they ship to Europe but I've heard good things. Also, I hope I'm not breaking the rules for referring a user to another site for games. I justify doing this because they're not emulated games they're the actual carts. Please let me know if I'm in violation and I will edit...
