Pokémon Hacks: Yay or Nay?

Yay: Pokémon hacks allow the player to create an alternate storyline from what has happened supposedly in the generations. Also on vintage games it can allow you to experience the new generations in a more familiar way than how they portray it now. Also it will give people a chance to truly express their creativity and possibly make the games a bit more challenging than the easy-peasy version that Japan provides us with.
Nay: These "expert hacks" can be somewhat underwhelming in some cases and overwhelming in others, rarely is there a truly amazing hack. Also if the person edits the character sprites to seem more futuristic, most times they stick out against the original sprites which they probably don't have time to edit. Finally it can be extremely boring un-addictive and the graphics could possibly be terrible and not have any depth to the plot whatsoever. 

No matter what your stand is, these hacks do change the game entirely, please post how you feel after reading this.

I love some Pokemon hacks such as Pokemon Light Platinum and Pokemon Rebirth but that's pretty much all the good hacks I could name ten bad Pokemon hacks I have played such as Pokemon dark cry and Pokemon Chaos Black.

I like Pokémon hacks and I think they are awesome and enjoyable to play as long as they are good and stay true to what Pokémon really is, good quality. I like Pokémon hacks like Pokémon light platinum, fire red generations, Pokémon flora sky and rebirth. I think these are all great hacks and that they are very fun, interesting and challenging to play which makes them a good hack. I look forward to playing Pokémon hacked games soon and I really enjoy them and find them fun to play and I hope you can play and like the hacks I recommended because they are really awesome.
