I have two favorite game series.
first Pokémon in my childhood it was far of my favorite series I didn't spend only time on the gameboy games but I spend also a lot of time with the trading card game.
Later on I started to like the legend of Zelda series more. I like it because of the different game mechanics. I also like the different types of stories a lot.

Final Fantasy, The Legend of Zelda, and Metal Gear. These franchises mean the absolute most to me.

Strangely, I dont like any of the kingdom hearts games. anyways, my favorite series is a tie between pokemon, final fantasy and mario. all these are amazing for me.

Ratchet & Clank, hence the layout. Although I've never played  the PS3 series, the first 3 games are kick-butt.

My favorite Video game series is a dead series by Capcom a game called Megaman specifically either the Megaman Zero series or the Megaman ZX series. I like the Megaman Zero series because it introduced a all new story based around Zero, and Master X. I liked Megaman ZX because it was a futuristic look on the Megaman universe were all of the legendary reploids are dead and you basically defeat all new enemies using the old legendary reploids powers.So my favorite Video game series is anything related to Megaman.

I would either choose, BioShock or the elder scrolls series.
But I studied more of Bioshock and played more of skyrim.
I will play the games over again and finally, I will make my choice.

kidd mac : Zero definitely deserved a series dedicated to him.  Capcom did a brilliant job with those games, in my opinion.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Donkey Kong Country, they're definitely my favourite 2D platformers. The 3D Mario series is probably my second favourite.

I say best game Series I know is the Metal Gear Solid series, 25 years old an still going an each game great, An there newest game looks like its gonna be really good.

I would have to say it is a tie between The "Tales of" games, Kingdom Hearts, Assassin's Creed, Final Fantasy(though not as much), Pokemon, Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill, Devil May Cry and The Legend of Zelda.

lucimento : I think Nintendo did a superb job with Donkey Kong Country Returns.  The bonus levels were a bit of a disappointment, though.  I was hoping for more traditional bonus levels, like those from DKC 1-3.  I miss the underwater levels, too.  I hope Nintendo puts a few of those in the next DKC.

My favourite video game series is probably the Grand Theft Auto series. Cruising around the vast open city is always a blast!

But the video game that defined my childhood the most is probably Pokémon Gold. Either that one, or Spyro: Year of the Dragon.

I gave this a lot of thought and I do not have one any more.

I have not grown out of video games but "I have had my fill" so to speak. When I say that I do not really mean it in a negative way. (Sure there are things I do not like but still.)
I am just at a point in my life where I do not need to go rushing to the store or plotting and waiting for the pay-check to cover my "game fix."

In this way, any game I get can entertain me.
I have no expectation.
Only good times.

Any game that has a good laugh in it. Either by the way it was scripted or the way it can be misconstrued and "Spun" into a comical affair. Tends to catch my attention.

Entertain me.
Tell those jokers to "earn that money".
All developers. Any Series they make.

Right now?
I have no favourites. I look at a game and I see 10 hours, 20 hours, 30 hours and 100 hours.
I look at my schedule and decide what kind of time I have this month or the next and that kinda decides my selection.

My favorite video game series has to be The Legend of Zelda because I am a big fan of adventures, puzzles, and action.


Mario, Sonic, Final Fantasy and others are also great.

This is really difficult. I'll have to go with Pokemon...The last new video game i bought (not some pre-owned one or anything) happens to be Pokemon Black. Even though i am doubtful of X and Y, i'll probably end up buying that too.

For this question, I would have to say either Pokémon or Kingdom Hearts. Both of these series I have been playing since I was a young child, and continue to play to this day. I own every Kingdom Hearts released in America (except for the PS2 remake of Chain of Memories, but that will be fixed with the HD collection) and have happily completed each one. I have been playing Pokémon since the third generation, and still enjoy catching them all to this day. There are other game series that I love and faithfully play (like Metal Gear), but none that I have been playing quite as long or been as faithful two as these series. There is always a feeling of newness and nostalgia with each new installment I play in each of these series, and I can't wait for Kingdom Hearts 3 and the sixth generation of Pokémon!
