Ok, first off we are gown cover the ways you SHOULD NOT try to fix your CD, as theses ways are just gown make it worse. Here they are:
1st: do not be stupid, do not go on the Internet and try using the toothpaste method, it just makes it worse.
2nd: don't use the peanut butter method either, again it will only make it worse.
3rd: this is the worst way to do it, some people use "window cleaner liquid", example: Windex, they put that on the CD and rub it with a banana, do not do this, as again, it will only make it worse.
4th: brasso, I tried this, it did not help, it got rid of the big scratches but it made a bunch of smaller ones, my game still did not work after it.

Ok. Now that you know what you should never try or use to fix you're CD's, I will tell you the best way to fix them, and yes, before you ask me if this fixes the "perfect circle scratch" that you would normally get on your CD by moving the console while it is on and has a CD in it, yes it will fix that too, as long and it is not to terribly deep.
Ok. Now, just bring them to a video store, example: block-buster, family video, etc. And ask them if they have a CD resurfacing machine, if they do it will cost 2 to 3 dollars per CD, I tried it with a friends xbox game and it took the circle scratch right out, and after words when I tried it, it worked, no scratch on the CD, and it ran perfectly. So do not try any of the Internet methods. K? It will just make it worst. Ok, first off we are gown cover the ways you SHOULD NOT try to fix your CD, as theses ways are just gown make it worse.
