   So, it's pretty self explanatory. Would you like it if Nintendo decided to mix the famous Mario Kart series with characters from Legend of Zelda, the Pokémon series, Fire Emblem?
 
  Personally, I feel this would be a terrible idea. First, you would lose the classic charm of "Mario" Kart, and replace it with this huge clash of entire Nintendo characters, which would be terrible. Then, you would also need to include items from these franchises, again, ruining the Mario Kart feel. The tracks would most likely become less colorful, and more dark, once again, taking away the charm of the game.  
   
Seriously, I can't find one possible plus to a game like this, but I've heard people that are for this. What do you think about this?

tails the fox : Well, what I feel about that is if you got one Nintendo character in it that was not from Mario, then they would seem out of place. Somehow, in Mario Kart DS, R.O.B. was alright, but still  just didn't fit in. I don't know who you would want, but I think it wouldn't feel right playing it with them.

I think the Nintendo kart is a good idea but that it shouldn't replace the Mario kart series like maybe they could add some missions and make half the stuff unlock able maybe treat it more like a racing super smash bro's I think it would be a good game if they did all that but I couldn't enjoy it if it replaced the Mario kart series.

kage27 : Yeah, if they made a whole new series to use more Nintendo characters, I would be all for it. If they made it more of an adventure game. like Diddy Kong Racing, it would be really cool. But they can't get rid of Mario Kart, or soil it either. It would make me furious.

No for changing the Mario kart name to Nintendo kart because the brand is already world wide know as Mario kart and changing it's name wouldn't make it any more popular in fact I think if they changed it there sales would go down because some people my not recognize the games brand.

When it comes to making a Nintendo kart separate from Mario kart, that wouldn't be a bad idea  because of all the different Nintendo game characters and game worlds they could use for a basis for the karts and circuit racing level design.

Mother3fan5: Yeah, that's what I was thinking. People like Link, and maybe Roy, Marth, etc. don't seem like a kart racing game would fit them at all, because they aren't cartoony, which would be important to keep the game fun. But I still think that it would have to be a different franchise, but it would be cool to see that.

Victor-E : Super Smash Bros did it by changing the art style of characters like Mario. The games go for a generally realistic approach. And the graphical lighting style is different. Look at Super Smash Bros, and then look at Mario Kart. The two have their own distinct styles, that is why Mario and such fit into Super Smash Bros.
