Pokémon Emerald game review How much do I like it? As you can tell, today I will be making a game review on Pokémon Emerald. This game has some sections that will bring it down, like sound, and some parts that will bring it up, such as addictiveness. Over this review I will talk about parts of the game along with things a person who would rate games would be looking for, such as graphics. I will give you a warning now, IF YOU HAVE NEVER PLAYED A POKÉMON GAME THAN BE CAREFUL READING THIS REVIEW, IF THERE IS SOMETHING YOU DO NOT RECOGNIZE THAN STOP READING THIS REVIEW IMMEDIATELY. I will give this game an overall rating of an 8.9, I like the games but there are some flaws. After I say that I will move on to the aspects of the game.

In the time that Pokémon Emerald was put out in stores there were not many games with very good graphics, so this was good for the game. For an early Pokémon game, this game was the best graphic wise. It looked like they had spent a lot of time between Gen two and Gen three. Gen two was a good, not great, game graphics wise. Then came Gen three. The graphics were very good for the time but not the best. They sure were better than some games, but there were some that were just way ahead of their time. That is why Pokémon Emerald will get an eight out of ten in this section, time to move on.
Sound: 5
This is what really brought the game down. In the game you will encounter many types of music from team Aqua and Magma to the theme for Wallace. All I can say is that the sound is not the best that it could be better. When I started the game I was used to the music from games like Pokémon Diamond, so this took me a while to get used to. I will say that the main part I do not like about it ( I will not say “hate” because it is a bit better than that) is that it does seem way too grainy, and I just do not like that too much. I think that they should have kept with the type of music from Gen one and two instead of trying something new, but you always have to take risks in life and some of them do not turn out exactly how you wanted them to. Overall I will give sound a five out of ten because it is not good but not bad.
Addictiveness: 9
This game is just like every other Pokémon game; you just run around and try to level up your Pokémon right? WRONG! This game has side stories to do, such as defeat the teams, team Aqua and team Magma. This is the kind of Pokémon game that you will want to keep playing and get more play time to show your time to! You will be all like, “Man, I have over one-hundred play hours, and I am beating you, how many hours do you have again?” “Oh, I have two-hundred, I guess you are wrong! Ha!” You will then be devastated. This is the Pokémon game that people, not just people monkeys too, were waiting for. This is a nice game to just get you playing a fun, calm and fun game for hours. If I had to pick between this game and Red of blue, I would pick Pokémon Emerald any day! This game will just always keep you wanting to play!
Story: 9
This game us great, but I cannot seem to give any tens around here! Anyway, this game has a great story. This is where you need to be careful if you have not played a Pokémon game before. The story for Pokémon Emerald is just the same as any other Pokémon game with some differences that make it better. First, Pokémon is a game where you have to catch every Pokémon in the game, train them, then defeat the elite four and champion. There is also this whole evil organization you have to take down. This is my favorite Pokémon caption of Oak, “Wait! Don’t go into the tall grass it could be dangerous! Instead why don’t you take down an entire criminal organization.” This is just perfect because it shows you how the criminal organization part is so important to the game. If you want a good game, that has a story than you will want a copy of Pokémon Emerald. This game is not for someone who wants games such as Call of Duty. Depth: 10 As you have probably seen from other reviews on this game, there is a lot to get done. As I have said, this game will make you want to keep playing the game for a long time without running out of things to do. This game basically has the main parts of a Pokémon game. You are a trainer who just turned, what 10, and you have to go out into the world, do some weird things, and become the best Pokémon trainer in the game. For most people “completing” the game means getting all Pokémon available to level 100. If some players do not do this than they count the game as unfinished, which kind of makes since. Some people still have not completed the game, but it does have a whole lot to offer.
Difficulty:7
Many Pokémon games have this factor of it being hard. Pokémon has always had parts that would always trick you or make you re-battle someone many, many, many, times. The Pokémon Ruby, Safire, and to Emerald, the games have always been harder, in my opinion, than any other Pokémon games. There are some parts where you just have no idea where to go, so you have to look up a video on YouTube to get you threw. The elite four are not the hardest so that will bring the difficulty down a bit. Overall I would say that Pokémon Emerald was a very good game overall for its time in lots of different sectors that will help the game always get a better rating. Even if there are some parts that you don’t like than you can just get through it and move on to the good parts. The reasons that you have just read show why this game gets an 8.9 from me.
