Couldn't the N64 be a complete power-house for retro gaming? I.E., you've got the N64 and its disk drive add-on...

-Nintendo 64
-Nintendo 64 Disk Drive

Then you have the series of Wide-Boy 64 add-ons for playing GameBoy Color and GameBoy Advance games on the TV if you were a developer or magazine company and had $1400 to spend...

-GameBoy Color (Wide-Boy 64 CGB (Color GameBoy))
-GameBoy Advance (Wide-Boy 64 AGB (Advance GameBoy))
-(GBA Slot) E-Reader

Then you have the Tri-Star 64 add-on which would let you play SNES,  Super Famicom and Famicom games on a Nintendo 64...

-Super Famicom
-Super Nintendo Entertainment System
-Famicom

Then you have the Japanese add-ons for the Famicom systems...

-Famicom Disk System
-Satellaview (Through either reproduction cartridges or flash carts with Satellaview ROMs on them)
-Sufami Turbo
-Datach Joint ROM System

And finally there are the adapters for other systems for use in the SFC/SNES and FC slots of the Tri-Star 64...

-Nintendo Entertainment System (Famicom to NES Adapters)
-(NES Slot) Aladdin Deck Enhancer
-GameBoy (Super GameBoy/Super GameBoy 2)
-"Dual Mode" GameBoy Color (Super GameBoy/Super GameBoy 2)
-Mega Drive/Genesis (RetroGen Adapter)
-(Mega Drive/Genesis Slot) Master System (Power Base Converter)

That's a total of 18 video game console/add-on libraries to be played on one console in original format (with the exception of Satellaview, but those games were downloaded files originally like they are downloaded files on a flash cart and are now also available in cartridge form anyway).

I'm basically planning for a console/add-on setup like this for all these old video game systems' games as they originally were, and all on one single console. I'd play games like Conkers Bad Fur Day, Mr. Gimmick, Donkey Kong '94, Toy Story, Earthworm Jim, Super Mario Bros. Deluxe and Wonder Boy all on one console while barely using the amount of TV shelf space normally needed to play those games.

I'm just wondering if I'm missing any other consoles that could be added to this list. Please tell me below!

EDIT: I'm just asking two questions (main point of the topic besides just showing the idea):

1. Are there any adapters for consoles that would let you place (e.g.) 3 of the console's cartridges on top of the console and just switch between them with (e.g.) a switch or something similar? Examples:

http://www.consoledatabase.com/accessories/nes/hesunidaptor/
http://www.amazon.com/Game-Boy-Advance-SP-Changer/dp/B00009IM2I

This is relevant because if I use or alter a few then instead of switching between cartridge and adapter, (most) of the different systems/add-ons would have their own cartridge slot.

2. Am I missing any other adapters/add-ons (probably third party or "after market") for N64 or other systems that let you play other currently unmentioned consoles on them? Like for playing Neo Geo on SNES, or TurboGrafx-16 on Mega Drive. Specifically any of these consoles:

-Atari 2600
-Game Gear
-Turbo Grafx
-Neo Geo
-Sega 32X
-Wonderswans
-Neo Geo Pockets
-Virtual Boy

TeeR : Yeah I'm not sure what the point of this thread is supposed to be. Just to list all the addons you can use on the N64? Honestly there are tons of aftermarket add ons for a lot of systems not to mention modded systems like the Super Genintari that would probably be considerably cheaper than super rare systems like the 64DD which the cheapest I have ever seen that sell for lately is like 2,600 US$

The Wide Boy 64 is even more rare than that and is only really a development only system. Getting one of those would be almost impossible.

Also since the Tri-Star is an aftermarket add-on. You Cannot totally assume that it would be compatible with the Famicom Disk System.

austipokedude : He wasn't really talking about new systems added to the site, he's talking about add ons that allow you to play all these systems with an N64. Besides all of these systems are already on Vizzed.

Basically, my thought is you're saying N64 was ahead of it's time, and didn't officially reach its potential - although it sorta did with the GameCube (GameCube has the Game Boy Player). I've always wanted the Wii to be compatible with NDS games the way GameCube was with Gameboy variants, but that's what emulators are for, lol.

Also, on the subject of the N64's potential, it has unofficially reached it's potential with the various texture pack hacks produced that can be played here:

Jordanv78 : Oh no?

(Can't be embeded apparently)
Sure the sound and picture are inferior, but so is everything else played on the Tri-Star 64.
tRIUNE : Speaking of GameBoy Player...
