Hello Everyone,

1. Dampen the ends of three cotton swabs with the rubbing alcohol.
2. Insert the swabs between one side of the electrical connector plate on the cartridge and the plastic protection wall.
3. Rub vigorously up and down the plate. Do this on both sides.
4. Examine the swabs. They will probably be black or gray with the detritus removed from the connector.
5. Apply alcohol to three more cotton swabs and repeat the procedure, examining the swabs each time. When the swabs come away white and clean, the cartridge is clean.
6. Allow any excess alcohol to dry before testing the cartridge.

MoserLeka : There are a few things that I will say here.

1. Although I have personally used Alcohol on older games, Nintendo suggests using Water on GBA and up games. Not sure if that makes a difference to anyone but I thought I would point that out.

2. Don't tell them to do anything "Vigorously" They should do it gently. Its a video game. They have to be careful. Gently is good enough, especially if you are using alcohol.

3. Dabbing the Q-Tip after applying water/alcohol is recommended. You don't want any excess moisture going into the cart.

4. With a Gameboy game you usually don't need 3 Q-Tips worth unless you had it buried in your backyard for the past 5 years ;-)
