What would you choose. Mario or sonic. I would choose Mario because he has more power and I'm better with him sonic is still good he is supper fast to. But who do you like more.

Mario because I am better with him, and plus he have really good move.

crazycatpup : I am very sorry. I have just noticed that this Thread is for Smash Bros and the other Thread is for Character and System.

Anyway I think Mario is better in Smash Bros because he is more balanced in Power and Speed and Sonic is just fast.

I'd choose for Sonic. Their games are equal to me (I still prefer the sonic games though) but Sonic also got things outside of the comics that interest me. Such things as the Comics, those are awesome. And not to forget Crush 40, I LOVE CRUSH 40 <3.

In Smash Bros. I would pick Mario as a fighter and then pick all the Sonic asthetics (The stage and music) because Sonic is a terrible fighter in Brawl to be honest, the only thing he has is Speed and a spammy Homing attack.

In this game, I would choose Mario even though Sonic is faster, Mario is stronger and tougher.

Gotta give it to Sonic. I enjoy running around the arenas with him. Sure, he's not the most powerful character, but he can still do pretty good in brawls if you use his speed well. That, and if it wasn't obvious by my username, I love the Sonic series, so I constantly use him. Screw tiers.

As characters, I happen to like Mario a little better than Sonic, but in smash brothers, Sonic is a lot more fun to play as.

Mario is well rounded and can be fun to play with if you experiment with him a lot, especially his fireball strategy, but that can have frustrating results at times. I found his moves a little bit laggy when you try to use your instincts in attacking. Often, while in the air, I would use the forward attack before remembering that his meteor punch fist has a slight delay to it. If you get used to him, though, this would be not such a problem, but it's easier to get used to Sonic.

Sonic has the speed and very nice combo flow going for him. Even if his B-special moves are kind of dull, they each have important times to use them, and combo in different ways. A favorite combo of mine (that I am sure many use) is while in the air, do his down b move and as you hit the opponent, jump and side attack, which usually connects and sends them far away. Also, Sonic can play a nice dodge game with his speed, you just got to use it in different ways so your opponent does not catch on. For instance, I sometimes just ran past them instead of taking the time to attack, which can throw your opponent off.

Sonic definitely wins in the fun and ease of control factor, even if he might not be "tourney perfect" or whatever.

I prefer Mario. I prefer him because of his games were pretty good except New Super Mario Bros. 2. My first Mario game I played was Super Mario World. I really loved it. I'd like to go to Memory Lane one day.

It's hard to choose but I go with Mario on this one. Sonic is my boy and all but he does not have a cool voice actor that you can imitate on an everyday basis. MARIO NUMBER ONE! WOHOO!!

Neither, I would sit out for the round because I have never played as Mario and I have played as Sonic once, Link all the way.

I would pick mario. Mario is more balanced and speed isn't everything. The only thing better about sonic is his final smash.

I don't really like either of them that much, but I'd prefer Mario. It feels like with Sonic, all the attacks are the same. Run around uncontrollably, and hurt other people. I just think Mario is better, even though the F.L.U.D.D. is pathetic.
