Unfortunately, when it comes to MMORPGs like Maple Story, it is highly unlikely you can ever legally play an earlier version of the game once new updates go public. Since the game is played in an evolving world shared by players all over the world, it would be very difficult for them to justify supporting 'old version' play. They would have to set up whole new servers and divert resources to run those servers, and just running the main game itself can take a great deal of effort and resources.

I haven't played Maplestory in ages. Not since right after they released that Meredith character class, any way. I've started to burn out on MMOs, to be honest. Especially those the require a lot of grinding and farming, like Maplestory does. If I ever do decide to start playing again, I'll be sure to give you a jingle, however.
