This is one of the best Megaman games in my opinion. I think I preferred this rather than the PSP version. It's also one of the first Megaman games I've played. This game had so much to offer and I thought i'd do a review on it.

Megaman had some amazing graphics compared to other games on the SNES (*cough* "Bart's Nightmare" *cough*) the sprites were clean and the visual effects were much enjoyable for me. The level design was just amazing. They had objects moving in the background to make it a little more enjoyable and fun. Like the trucks they added moving in the background made it seem cool. Except the first time it makes you think your gonna get run over. But otherwise the visuals were just great so i'm glad to give this a 9/10.

The music was just amazing. That is all. It had such a variety of sounds depending on where you were. If you were in the beginning level (highway) it had intensifying action music that fit the level perfectly. The shooting, jumping and charging effects added much to the enjoyment of the game. In my opinion the sound had flaws on in some levels where I didn't enjoy the music like some of the bosses. But other than that the music was finely placed and made.

Because of the great level designs and just how much fun it is too play the levels the game is very addictive. I'm not sure how to explain it but it's like one of those games that's so fun too play you just don't want to put it down. I think it's just because of the great paced action and shooting that makes it so addictive. It mixes many things like action, jumping and sc-fi into one great plat former. In my perspective I think that's what makes the game so addicting is because of the great and unique level design and gameplay.

The story is a well thought out plot in my opinion. It takes one robot and his friends and takes law enforcement to a whole new level . When Megaman X came out it was a unique series and that's why a lot of people liked it. Just like Mario or Sonic. What do they all have in common? It's because their stories are each different and out of this world (literally). One special robot v.s around 8 other robots. That's the kind of suspense and action you want in a story line and that's what makes it great. So story gets a 7/10.

One problem with mist games back in it's time is that there wasn't exactly much to in the games besides beat the main objective. Once you beat the story it's pretty much over after that. But because of the difficulty it gives you more things to try in the game and it takes a while to beat. But overall the game doesn't have much too offer.

The Megaman games, I won't lie, are pretty difficult to me. I personally have never been good at platformers. But if your one of those people who can handle quick paced difficult action then this is the game for you. The enemies do come fast and it does take a while to get used to the jest of actually killing bigger enemies without losing half your health. But yes to me the game was quite difficult. But maybe it would be easier for you.

The overall rating I would give this would be a 9.5/10. This game is pure legend. I highly recommend anyone who hasn't tried a lot of the Megaman games to give this a try. It has lots of things you'll love. So hop on down to the RGR and give it a try. You will not regret it .

A true classic. Capcom is one of the best video game industry. I have never seen a bad game from Capcom.

Great review for a great game but i never really liked megaman games...not a 2D platformers
